You think you have privacy on a public road? Without that iniquity identifier, the roads would be more chaotic.

I mean I hate license plates and love the fourth amendment as much as anyone but I’m not sure your car has a right to privacy on public roads...I guess you’re saying that you have the right to not be identified as the owner of the car via the license plate but that’s not any more of a privacy violation than being

What right to privacy are you talking about?  The only one in America is about medical privacy, and the undoing of that one is about to start.

This is America. If you’re rich enough, you can make it legal for your kids to kill others while driving drunk.

I helped build an Escalade for a customer that made over 600 to the tire.

It’s unsettling having something that big, move that quickly.

If you’re paying $150k for this, even a few grand in fees isn’t going to make you blink. Financial barriers only for poor people. Just like crimes that only come with a fine, it’s

A friend of mine needed some dental work done… even after insurance, it was cheaper to drive down to Mexico, hang out for a few days, and pay outa pocket. If i recall, he still submitted the bill to the insurance company which they paid.

In other words, the dipshits with gas guzzlers will go wherever the gas is cheap. They clearly don’t give a shit about destroying the environment with more emissions.

If you think crossing the border to buy gas then spending hours getting back over is worth your time, I’m worried about you.

haha and the GOP is trying to sell us on the southern border being some sort of dystopian battleground that needs to be ‘secured’ for the sake of the nation.  Meanwhile people are just heading on over to save a couple bucks on a fill up.

It's actually about 20 minutes from downtown San Diego depending on traffic. What you're not accounting for is the 2+ hours waiting at the border to come back.

People are just completely irrational about gas prices. You save $2 per gallon, so that’s what, like $20? Or $30 if you have a big car and your tank is almost completely empty? And according to Google Maps, Tijuana is 20 miles and 40 min away from San Diego, or 40 miles and 80 min round-trip. So you use 1.5 gallons on

Not to mention that spare tires have a speed limit of ~50mph and are designed to get you to a tire store ASAP, not to be driven at 70mph until you get back home so you can deal with the tire next week sometime.

How is domestic production down? It went down drastically in 2020 (pre-Biden, as you might recall) due to Covid, but has been steadily climbing since.

Narrator “ It won’t”

Right. Except many folks buy based on what they can afford (purchase price), not gas efficiency. I was well into my 30s before I could afford a ride that got decent gas mpg. Fuck Putin, and fuck the oil cos. too. I believe something could be done to keep petrol prices reasonable, but greed, assholes and politics

Car-dependency is not the fault of the car-dependent (usually).  It’s the fault of policy-makers foisting car-dependency on everyone.

I’m glad that housing is so affordable you can just move closer to work when gas prices raise up.

i was just gonna start riding my motorcycle.  then it decided to go from 80+ to the high 30s in the mornings so looks like im waiting another week.
