There’s a perception among guys in their 30s and 40s that SNL is all about sweaty coked-up dudes doing accents, when really the beating heart of the show has always been self-aware Jewish women mugging directly into the camera.

Lordy, this was such a half-assed episode. Sarah may have flubbed, but she brought ENERGY, the only bright spot for me in the entire evening.
Yeah. This made me throw up a little.
Thank god someone finally said it about Kyle Mooney. He sucks hard. Every character he plays is a variation on “Look how awkward and unfunny I am. Isn’t that funny?” If I have so watch him to do Bruce Chandling one more time, I’m gonna chuck my tv out the window.
they knew what they were doing when they made zoe say ‘momhole’ that much.
That might have been the best Update of the season. But then Kyle Mooney shows up to remind us how hard he sucks. He is the Colin Robinson Energy Vampire of the show.
I liked the Paw Patrol sketch. As a parent who has had to watch way too much of that show, I appreciated the premise, got all the jokes, and thought it was a fine length. Of course if you were not very familiar with Paw Patrol, it probably was a bit of a drag to get through.
The “meatball men” sketch is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. And I say this as someone who has watched Saturday Night Live since the beginning, and who is a great lover of sketch comedy — SCTV, Monty Python, MadTV, Mr. Show, Kids in the Hall, Whitest Kids U’Know, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Fridays, In…
Zendaya’s great, but Rue’s addiction narrative is by far the least interesting part of this show.
Give the trans rabbi her own show!!
Again, I find myself angry with this show for making me sympathize with Che. (That doesn’t count as liking them). The title of this episode should have been “Steve Deserves Better”, as that convo between Steve and Carrie was incredibly touching. Anthony’s “GET OUT!” had me laughing for so long that I had to rewind to…
This was oddly my favorite regular-season episode so far. I agree that we need more time to sit with, well, almost everyone. But the pastiche was great, and finally made me not worry about how literally I was supposed to be taking everything.
You and me will keep each other company while dying on our Misty loving hill.
The fact that no new adult Yellowjacket was introduced at the reunion was such a huge missed opportunity (and would have been a bigger twist than anything this episode delivered).
also Misty having such a different reaction from the other girls during the reunion slideshow was pure LOL
My pick for Lottie (if she survives) is Shannyn Sossomon. She checks every box. She has an intense, ethereal quality that makes her an idea guru. She’s got an acting cred going back to the 90s so she fits the pattern there. And she has a mixed ancestry very similar to Courtney Eaton’s, each descending from European…
This episode wrecked me. I’m struggling to think of a death that has gotten to me like Jackie’s has. It was so sad, so lonely and devoid of purpose. It was the best bit of manipulation of audience expectation since Psycho. We expect Jackie to play in important role. She was going to be the Antler Queen. Or a leader of…
There were fewer answers than I hoped for, but the ones we got felt big & satisfying & definitely set up an interesting s2.
Well I guess I subscribe to Showtime now. I initially only did it for the two month .99 cent per month rate & was going to cancel. But I probably want to rewatch & maybe they will get s2 out in a reasonable amount of time & I am for sure committed to the show now
