The more I hate watch this show, the more convinced I am that this is some sort of elaborate prank on us SATC fans.

The merging into “No Return” by Craig Wedren and Anna Waronker in the hunt scene was phenomenal.
Let’s not forget that Adam’s license plate is the same license plate on Misty’s bug. In a show so dedicated to small details, that CAN’T be a miss.
So now thinking we could get a reveal of Jackie showing up at the reunion, but if Lottie shows up shit will really get real. (Maybe both?? And they are teamed up??)
I mean, she figured out how to take off, presumably she had a plan for the landing too. She probably would have done a better job than the pilots of their charter plane
Oh yeah I think the reunion is going to include at least one big surprise attendee, most likely Jackie but it could be Van too.
they are definitely writing it like Samantha is returning, but I think the writers are just hoping Kim says yes. Friend breakups are some of the hardest, but they also have room for reconciliation, it’s just hard to explore what would be a great storyline if we don’t have Samantha there for it lol.
Watch the big reveal being that Boba becomes a Tusken youth pastor.
The visual presentation of this episode was stunning, which made even more sense when I saw that it was directed by Rodriguez in the end credits. It also partially explained why the fight scenes in general didn’t have that flow as while Rodriguez is an incredible director, that kind of action has never been his strong…
I think this might be the first time you could actually hear Lenny Pickett clapping.
I hate the 5 timers conceit. It has never ever ever been funny for me. Not even seeing old guests and cast members coming back and having fun can salvage it.
I love the fact that the Global Warming Christmas Special made it to the episode
Dear god, when are we EVER going to find out about what happened to Skipper???
One thing that I’m realizing about this show is that the original SatC ended pretty satisfactorily. So even though I’m sporadically enjoying this show, I’m not really happy watching them dismantle the pleasant and satisfying ending I already got.
Sex and the City is one of those shows that was a huge critical and populist hit with people and along with Oz and Sopranos, put HBO on the map for high quality original programming. S&TC in particular was one of those shows where it came out at the right time and hit the cultural zeitgeist in a lot of ways that…
Well, that was... an adaptation. A road story with most of the travelling removed. A pandemic story that doesn’t care about the the outbreak. A tale of the fall of civilization that skips the fall. A horror story about the rise of ultimate evil where the evil barely speaks and then “dies” stripper-dancing. An epic…
You keep saying the show has too many characters but, really, the cast list isn’t bloated. It is just, as you do rightly point out, that they do a shitty job developing *any* of them.
I’m so very annoyed at the ‘hand of god’ actively killing all the antagonists *before* setting off the nuke. Which means the nuke…
this was one of the best episodes of this adaptation so far, altho that is damning with faint praise. i mean its been awhile since i watched the 90s mini-series but i feel like that was better in pretty much every way... let alone comparing this to the book.
I’m really enjoying the series, but I feel it is only because I read the book so many times. I’m invested in the characters coming in. The series really should have spent a lot more time with each character, even if it required a few more episodes. Also, the flashback format is just confusing.
They literally had both Lloyd and Julie do cocaine in this episode! Book Flagg would have had them hanging from electrical poles about 5 minutes later!
