This got so much mileage when our local Mac’s Milk became a Circle K.

This reminds me of the time my dad made spaghetti sauce and used cinnamon instead of chili powder.

I made jambalaya for my boyfriend. I had bragged about it beforehand (as I had made it before and it was good). In my nervousness about cooking for him for the first time, I switched the rice and liquid ration so instead of 4 cups of broth and 2 cups of rice, I used 2 cups of broth and FOUR FREAKING CUPS OF RICE.

Joey King’s dress looked like a Doppler Effect Vagina.

Why do I feel like Taylor ordered her dress off eShakti? (Hint: it’s the pattern)

Great Minds! 200 Cigarettes had a great cast, and was overrated in my opinion. (However, if I could go back, I’d maybe not watch it for the first time with my Grandma).

Putting my vote in for 200 Cigarettes, if only for the sole reason of getting to watch Martha Plimpton’s dance of social desperation to Feliz Navidad.

I watched Ready or Not this weekend, mainly because of the cast (Hi, Donnie Hendrix and Wynonna Earp as a married couple? SIGN ME UP).

I binged the first season of Miracle Workers... and I’m not really sure why (I needed something to watch while I did my laundry).

Is it accurate to call Anne with an E a Netflix original when it actually premiered on the CBC?

Well played. Take your star.

Susie was back in New York, dealing with Sophie Lennon

Oh no, I didn’t know he died :-(

My daughter walked in during that scene and after watching for a few minutes (jokingly) announced that she was having a stroke.

I’ve been generally unclear on whether this was a Netflix decision or a CBC decision, or both.

AWAE did manage a bunch of Canadian Screen Awards, but I guess that doesn’t count.

I read his autobiography and I couldn’t get over how overwhelmingly positive the guy is about his life. He seems incredibly grateful to be where he is.  It’s nice.

I also find “Would you like a hug?” is better than “Can I have a hug?” because then the question is about what they want, and lets them not have to worry that you’ll have hurt feelings if they say no.

Yup. I trick or treated until I was 17.  My kids are now 16 and 18.. one (the younger) had initially decided she was over it (although I think she’s taking her brother--not my kid, her dads kid--out now).  My oldest was geared to go trick or treating but ended up having to work a 1-9 shift.

Putting makeup on is still an effort.
