Different album, but BFF’s “Selfless, Cold, and Composed” is a brutal break-up song if I’ve ever heard one.

Not really an album per se, but Sarah Harmer does some amazing break up songs. One song in particular got me through a breakup (but still stings when I hear it), that’s You Were Here from the album of the same name:

I have a theory about No Children that this is the part in the album where the Alpha couple decides to get pregnant in a last-ditch attempt to save their marriage, but the pregnancy is lost to miscarriage and this song is about those feelings of pain and hopelessness and how they are both feeling the pain of loss but

Ages 6-11 - Myself and the rest of the neighborhood kids would perform plays that we’d written ourselves on my back porch to our very patient parents.

to a human?

Blast from the Past and Airheads.

He’d have had us all sleeping in the same bed in depression-era conditions..

That’s entirely possible.. I can’t remember if I ever saw that episode though (I had season one on DVD, then basically caught other episdes sporadically).

I’ve always found him incredibly endearing. He’s like a human puppy dog.

His turn on Halt and Catch Fire was the first thing I had seen him in since.. I dunno.. Scooby Doo? It was mind-blowing, to say the least.

The CD currently in my car is “People” by The Burning Hell. I picked it up at their last Toronto show. My two favourite tracks are “Amateur Rappers” and “Industrialists”

This randomly reminded me of when people got mad about “New Orleans is Sinking” after Katrina... even though that song was written 15 years prior.

I loved it. I think some of it made people uncomfortable because they assume muppets are a kids-only thing.. The Muppets (not including Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock) have always been grown-up humour, it’s just that over the years, grown-up humour has gotten more blatantly.. for lack of a better word.. vulgar.

And apparently it’s on YouTube.. so, I guess I know what I’m doing this weekend.

Haven’t seen it yet, am dying to see it... not sure where to find it and couldn’t catch the original broadcast since no cable (and I don’t have netflix either if it’s on there)

I have no interest in any TBBT guest spots that aren’t Dan Levy playing Leonard’s older, more successful, and most favored brother.

I’d love to see that released as a live album. I’d be all over it. They aired the show on a big screen in our town’s downtown and most of the town came out to watch. I went home during the first encore but sat in my car in my driveway and listened to the last, what was it.. three? four? encores on the CBC. Fucking

I miss actual metal coffee tins, not the cardboard shit you get now. So useful.

Good lasagne shouldn’t be soupy, imo. you and your soupy lasagne have my pity.

If you’re reheating in the microwave, zap it for a longer period of time on a low-power level. Helps diminish that “Dry on the edges, still cold in the middle” issue.
