“Between 40 and 50 percent of all African-American babies are killed before they’re born. A Hispanic child is three times more likely to be aborted than a white child.”

You want to outlaw abortion and not provide free contraception, Republicans? Then I want free daycare, paid parental leave, free diapers, school lunch support, and a whole host of other family services that you outright refuse to support.
I want to run for Congress, win and draft a bill to make it legal for American citizens to punch these guys in the dick.
I LOVE THEM AND WANT TO BE HIGH WITH THEM AND CAN THEY BE CO-PRESIDENTS OF THE USA BECAUSE THAT MEANS AMY POEHLER IS SECRETARY OF STATE AND OMG THE WORLD WOULD BE AT PEACE.
Only this show would stand up for the integrity of pubes. lol
They are just so. freaking. AWESOME. :)
yikes i didnt mean to spoil it!!!!!!!!! but abbi said on a twitter Q&A that we will probably still see lincoln and they def didnt do this to write hannibal out of the show but they felt like it just made sense for the characters which i think is true!
i loveeeeeee lincoln (and that he was still carrying blake griffens shoe to dump her hahah) but i thought it was really good character development having them break up
Bumped into her on vacation last year. Really pretty, very sweet and a very good tipper.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love these two more.
I was kinda disappointed with the first few episodes of this season but it has totally redeemed itself. The episode where Ilana’s parents are celebrating their anniversary was actually super heartwarming and sweet.
Nah, Bobby Flay doesn’t seem like he would be that cool or fun.
“These women do not live in the river.”
SPOILER: as a cliffhanger for the end of season 2:
IT’S REVEALED THEY DO IN FACT *LIVE IN THE RIVER*
...OR DO THEY?!
Great documentary! I’ve been a long time Nina fan, and I learned so much more about her from the documentary. Plus, as far as documentaries, biopics, etc go, I’ll support it if her daughter supports it. her daughter supported the documentary and won’t touch the biopic with a 10 ft pole. That speaks volumes.
Speaking as a filmmaker, I hate, hate, hate it when fellow filmmakers use the “we’re telling a story” as a crutch for every decision they make, and a bullwark against every criticism. Not enough blacks in your movie? “Well we’re trying to tell a story...” The women in your movie are reductive caricatures with no lives…
Has Matt Damon weighed in on this casting issue yet?
I have no idea if India Arie can act, but she is my first choice. Viola Davis would work, too. Adepero Oduye looks the part. It all depends on what age they really wanna focus on.
OMG - bingo. I can understand being discriminated against only as a white woman. And until I am anything else (unlikely in this life) I better be damn careful claiming I “understand” someone else’s story.
I don’t know that white people can’t necessarily tell the stories of people of color, just as I know talented men can tell women’s stories and get it right.
