“Do I really have to say it?”
“Do I really have to say it?”
I liked Mweyer as a commenter and the opportunity was warranted, so I’m not sure what their thinking was with this plagiarism (amongst others articles, I guess) for this guest gig. Looks like it was dealt with relatively quickly but now I feel like io9’ers (Gawker employees but mostly commenters/visitors) will now…
I expect Mark is on her side now- at least more than he is on Castor’s. I have no doubt the only reason he kidnapped her was to stop Rudy(or is that Seth?) from killing her on the spot. He needed medical attention, and he needed it to look like he was still following orders, so the only way to live was to go back.
All Sarah had to say was “I’m here because I was looking for you.” That’s it- one simple, true sentence. It really bothers me that she didn’t say it, they should have found another way to split them up if they needed Sarah to stay captive another week.
This goes well beyond being “ripped off” and straight into plagiarism. There are exact passages that have been clearly copied.
This only took a few minutes, so I imagine a few of his other stories have this plagiarism problem as well.
Am I the only one who thought Cosima’s date was going to go horribly and she would end up with the bartender? There just seemed like there was a lot of chemistry there and it was an unusual amount of interaction for just a generic bartender character.
Not to mention the Cracked article isn’t riddled with grammatical errors. This article is just badly written. The fact that it’s basically plagiarized as well speaks volumes of the culture at io9 and Gawker media as a whole.
I teach 7th graders. I know 7th graders. I’ve graded 7th grade plagiarism. This, Senator, is not up to the level of 7th grade plagiarism.
This just did away with so much trust I had in io9....
Nice find. Jesus. Gawker media is just sucking ass recently. The Louis CK unsubstatianted slander, now blatant plagiarism? Get a fucking grip, gawker. I know you’re a clickbait site but don’t shit all over what little credibility you have.
Cracked also did a really great article a couple of years ago how some websites completely plagarize them. The “author” should make that the second article they read on Cracked.
R.I.P. your job
Bullshit. You use the same images and talk about the same scenes. Time to own up.
You were thinking about the same examples and same gifs, including movies that aren’t even out yet? You must have been separated at birth.
Yeah, someone got ripped off...
Are you David Christopher Bell, by chance?
Finally science fiction has created a sexually transmitted disease scarier than electric gonorrhea the noisy killer.
There were a lot of things I liked about this episode and a few I didn’t; mostly it was good to have the focus back on Leda and the supporting characters we know and love.
I was joking at first, but this really is turning into The Unbreakable Gracie Johanssen.
