I mean... yeah. That was basically her issue with the group, to begin with. Didn’t they used to cut off her mic feed? If I was her, I wouldn’t go back, either. She found something she’s good at and actually earns respect for, just let her be.

I’m ready for the transition into adulthood without going full on Baby Jane. She’s already past the age of those big ass bows.

And only two more episodes of You’re the Worst left. At least I’ll still have BoJack.

I’m honestly not too surprised over Streisand’s comments. She, like my parents, probably believe that all rapists hide in dark alleys at night and strike at random and all pedophiles are complete strangers who wear trenchcoats and sniff bicycle seats. A sexual predator is never someone you know, but if it is, then

I’m so confused. I mean, women manage to do this all the time (and are often expected to, by men) but you...can’t even imagine doing it?

This just makes me hope people stop commenting on each other’s superficial grooming choices. That’s sexual harassment to a pretty bad extent, regardless of what she chose to do with her pubic hair.

Heaven forbid a celebrity EVER just say, “I’m not interested in talking about that.”

Happens all the time. I was molested. So was my mom when she was a kid. It’s apparently different for me, though, because I’m a male who turned out to be gay and had an abusive father, and she didn’t. Clearly it’s awful that a man chose to do that, but it’s not so traumatic because clearly I wanted the male attention

I watched the ep with my sister, and she pointed out immediately that any evidence Jake found would be inadmissible in court, and that Jake would know that. But then, Jake always cares more about proving himself right than about actually acting to serve and protect, so not so much surprising behavior for a supposedly

I think grooming rather than total removal will stay in style. A few men I know with young daughters or nieces say they don’t like the bare look because it is a little too child-like for them.

Season 5 was actually the original ending to the show, but it got picked up last-minute for a renewal, and they rewrote the ending to have Sam escape hell.

The first 5 seasons were some god damn great TV...and then it kept going.

I think Rosa is Holt’s younger sister in their dynamic. He’s someone she admires but they don’t have the same dad/mentor bond as he does with Jake and Amy.

I love the lampshading they do about old, forgotten plot points and storylines, like Terry reminding Jake that one time he had a gun to his head and had to write his own suicide note, and Jake laughingly blowing it off. “Oh yeah, I forgot about that!”

“(Speaking of Amy plots, Amy’s sergeant status still hasn’t evolved much past wearing a uniform, has it?)

I’d like to know, if you don’t mind: What were your thoughts on last week’s episode?

It’s weird that they are going ignore Jake breaking and entering into Dr. Tate’s office. That should be a huge sign right there that Jake is in trouble.

The A.V. Club commentariat, pre and post kinja, has always had hilariously bad music takes. It’s like everyone stopped liking anything new after their sophomore year in high school.

Sabrina really is the worst, but at least she’s the kind of worst that makes shit happen, so I kinda forgive it (as opposed to some of the more passive “worsts” over in Riverdale). As soon as the yule log was set up, I turned to my husband and cackled, “Let’s blow out some logs!” It also cracked me up when her friends

Yeah she reminds me of Harry Potter a lot in that she has some magic so she believes she can handle *anything* and runs into dangerous stuff headlong thinking, as you said, that she knows better than grown (centuries old) adults who have been magicians forever and gets so many people into dangerous scenarios. That
