Popovich is a great coach. His offensive and defensive scheming are second to none in the history of basketball. He is a good motivator and generally creates a good environment.

Mourinho is the Bob Knight of soccer.

Yeah it is crazy that an owner would “baby” the 2nd best player in the NBA. I mean we all know an undersized glue guy is far more valuable.

The Colts have played the Jags, Bills, Raiders, and Jets in consecutive weeks. There are easy stretches in every team’s schedule. This might be historically easy.

He also has significantly higher upside than IT (no pun intended). Kristaps could be a team’s centerpiece.

Hoge and Cummings are no different than the doctors and execs in the 50s and 60s who maintained that smoking was A-OK. Most of those doctors and execs smoked and the power of convenient denial is very strong. Similarly, those smoking doctors had an industry and a wanting audience ready to believe them.

The connections between universities and large law firms are many. This is especially true if the firm is local to the school. There are likely prominent people in the community that do business with the firm and likely have a vested interest in the school’s image. The firm also knows that an exceptionally damaging

My favorite is when people talk about how physical it was in the 70s and 80s. It is true that they would occasionally hack the crap out of someone and knock their teeth in, but the defense was non existent. Teams were scoring 130 without 20 3s. They would wave at guys and occasionally an enforce would destroy a guy in

He's gonna need a bigger rug to hide his bald soul.

I love the Eli saga. So the Giants win two flukey Super Bowls with all-time great defenses, O-lines and serviceable skill players. Eli played well for those two short stretches. Besides that, he has been an average QB at best...and now he is old.

I love Zlatan, but he would have had to do that karate kick back heel from his own half for it to beat any of the goals from the top level leagues.

You forget that Gruden was undefeated for his entire run on Monday Night Football, didn't draft a single bust and made zero bad personnel moves. There is no arguing with that kind of success.

If the Colts want to protect him they will sit him the next time the Colts are down 20 with 5 min to play. The 10-20 low odds of winning plays he would be subject to are far more dangerous to his health than one hailmary.

Frankly I’m not surprised. I’ve been around a few pro sports teams and quite a few individually owned medium sized businesses. Rarely is the owner hands on. They often claim to be, but that is just for the image.

Well, he is already better than Jordan was at baseball.

I believe Ford sells frame polish. As any Mustang owner knows, it’ll buff out.

He didn’t found Tesla. FYI.

I can’t see how the Kazee hit on Lee is a penalty. He went about as far away from the ball carrier’s helmet as possible. Of course he destroyed Lee’s knee, but he did exactly what he was supposed to do, right? He could have dropped his shoulder and helmet into Lee’s upper body like the Colts’ Adams did.

Although the stakes might not be as high, I would argue that this is more despicable. The OSU admin could have easily resolved this by canning Meyer. It was simple and black and white. There is very little nuance to this.
