I don’t disagree with your (cynical) assessment, except on one point: Gawker does have the money ($45M in revenue in 2014). It’s just lacking in self-respect and respect for its readers.

Fair enough! I’d be satisfied if there was a nice little “report typo” button for each article... that way, readers could do (some of) the work for them, and they would only need to be responsive to the comments, rather than proactive.
I wouldn’t even be pedantic about things like “hypersonic”. Promise! :)
That’s a very charitable take on the situation... Kudos to you for your kind, and considerate, take on the situation. :) (For real!)
Also also: the February 7, 2009 fires (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sat…) in Australia were in Victoria, not NSW.
And an addendum: international assistance or not, it’s notTrudeau’s refusal that caused the fire to spread and keep spreading into Saskatchewan... It was the wind and the dry conditions. Correlation != causation.
Diana, we don’t actually need the help... Ground crews agree on this point.
I saw that too... Not to mention the incorrect use of “hypersonic”. Did no one review this article for accuracy?
Yet another OkCupid fan... I met my husband there 8 years ago! I had tried some other platforms, including Match and eHarmony, but was turned off by the cost and the fact that they were clearly aimed at mature singles, not people in their early 20s
Agreed! An image would have really helped the article (original or Lifehacker).
So glad you mentioned Keep... I have been using it for my groceries for a while now, but I don’t remember it having a “share” option until this last update? Either way, it has one now, and I like it!
Device ID, In-app Purchases and Photos/media files? Not what I’d call necessary. However, I will give them credit for limiting what they need to (mostly) what is reasonable to run the app.
The overall permissions request:
I’ll see if I can attach a screenshot or 3. :)
This app seemed great... then I looked at its access requirements. Not impressed.
Are you *certain* you’re not my husband? Because I’m pretty sure your girlfriend and I are the same person.
It’s a deal! :)
I used this trick when I first moved into my house.
Most grocery stores sell them... The biggest name-brand that comes to mind is Old El Paso pickled green chillies (actually jalapenos). They come in tiny 2oz cans.
Why would you grind up perfectly good bacon to improve mediocre chicken? Just eat the bacon!
Yeah, but even us francophones / English-French bilingual call our Brigittes “Bridge”. ;)
