I’m curious... How does one “end up” in theatrical costuming class? Isn’t that a pretty niche field that most people choose to be in? (Or did your university just have some really bizarre electives?)

I love my touchscreen! I also thought I’d dislike out, but it’s just so darn handy.

I’ve recently begun applying this principle to my conversations with others (although I didn’t realize it until I deaf this article!) and have find the results to be quite positive.

The situation you describe is wrong, wrong, wrong, and I hope you find a better mechanic. Any professional who would lie to a client (for any reason) is a slimeball.

Happens in the Canadian government too, sadly.

This is really excellent... I think I’ll steal it! :) (Thank you.)

If my 4-months pregnant tummy (and associated fun anatomical changes) aren’t stopping me from sleeping on my stomach, how on earth could a simple pea do it?

I really enjoy wearing my “barefoot” shoes at the gym... Most of the benefits of real bare feet, none of the grossness!

This.

First, I think you mean “message”, not letter. It was a nice use of the concept, though.

Thanks for the informative reply! I had never heard of such a rule, but your explanation took it from “ridiculous” to “downright sensible, if a bit odd”. :)

Just wanted to tip my hat to you for accepting a public correction with grace. Thank you. :)

I RTFM whenever possible—especially, as you said, when it involves a $20K vehicle. Hell, I read it for the cars I rent as well as own. The manual lives in my glovebox and is consulted on a monthly basis (always something new to learn!), and more frequently when something “goes odd”. I like to know if it’s a problem I

Funny that you should mention that as an example. My grandmother sold her Rabbit for slightly more than scrap money back in the mid-90s after being told it was irreparable... only to see it back on the market a month later for more than double what she received. :/

Sounds like a fun way to pass the time... I like it!

But isn’t that why people call you? Because they don’t know these things and need to be towed to a place where someone who does can help them?

This.

I always face the people I interact with... even when collaborating. I guess that says a lot about how I view my relationship with that person.

Yikes! Hope you'll be able to mend fences when you get back.

Great article! Too bad I didn't read it until after the disagreement with my boss. :(
