Fighting in hockey has been “dying off” for decades.  At this point someone needs to step in and say “No, this is not okay and no we aren’t going to wait for it to disappear on its own.”

Incomparable. Hockey highlights its violence and uses it to lure in an audience. Futbol is one of the oldest sports known to man and has the kind of history hockey can only dream of, not to mention it is very strict on violence.

Thank you, but I cannot agree that there is ever a reason to fight.  Rather, fighting has never helped or solved anything.  At the very best fighting achieves a stalemate and you lose the time you spend doing it.  This is especially true in sports.
