No one earns a billion dollars lol.
No one earns a billion dollars lol.
I don’t think anyone faults them if they actually pay their taxes and don’t play games to pay hundreds in taxes on hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars of income.
I’ve never really understood the obsession with filtering and distorting the image to give it the same qualities of a crappy LCD screen or CRT. I like seeing the artwork with the kind of crisp definition that emulation provides, even when said art was tailored to specific hardware. Chacun à son goût, though.
Bing is my primary search engine because I can earn points per search towards gift cards, and it’s really easy to constantly rack up $5 Amazon gift card codes.
Rip van winkel over here
Tommy always seemed like a blowhard, but his passion for old-school games was apparent. But, if he really is a far-right douche bag, then that sucks.
Kinda feels like the wrong story to bring this up under considering this is a very videogame specific idea.
I honestly don’t understand the animosity toward the product placement in this game. We live in a world of branded products and advertising. We all use branded batteries. We drive around and see billboards promoting different brands. A great many people drive Ford motor products. The product placement makes the world…
This just made me realize how much things have changed that the core mechanics are now antiquated. If people need a flashlight, they have their phones, and few devices require regular battery replacement.
I’ve never understood why Sony and Nintendo are just so anti-consumer friendly, and seem to just make everything more difficult than it needs to be.
Y’know, I think it’s safe to say that folks who are buying these games on the Switch (especially if they’re playing them mainly in handheld mode) probably understand what they’re getting. I might be wrong, but I think most people are either informed enough to understand they’re going to see a compromised version of…
How is it dodgy flash games from the mid 2000s back when you only had Kb level connections are still better made games than most mobile games today?
Ouya, that sounds like a great idea!
All 3 Stadia customers are super stoked about this announcement.
They’re probably using the same materials, but those are definitely not the same sticks the DS4 uses, No previous dualshock thumbsticks have had any kind of texturing on them.
My entry for “worst name pun”
I work as a game programmer; I haven’t worked on destructive environments (or very complex games at all) but based on what I know.... It should be very hard to do. I’m sure there are great algorithms and papers out there on how to do this but it would still require a lot of R&D and testing, which I suspect many…
I thoroughly enjoyed the Mercenaries series in their time. The destruction was a ton of fun, but iirc all the destructible objects/buildings could only be destroyed all at once, as set pieces.
There’s a major differnce between flood filling prefractured networks and procedurally managing these interactions using algorithms designed for use in the movie industries.
I remember when Microsoft was touting it’s destructible enviroments for Crackdown 3. My first thought was, “Red Faction did it first”. Not that I didn’t like the idea, it just wasn’t unique besides Crackdown 3 would depend on external servers. Now Crackdown 3 has been in development hell, until recently.
But it makes…
