I love that Fran Drescher is at the center of what could be one of the most consequential strikes of the 21st Century so far. While this (and WGA strike) is mostly about pay, it’s also the first real pushback against corporate exploitation of AI.

I think Wilder got the character better than anyone, both behind and in front of the camera. It was lightning in a bottle with that dude and I just don’t see the point in trying to catch that again. Oh, money. That’s the point.

Maybe I’m reading too deep into your comment, but let’s not conflate racism with mental illness. There are plenty of people with mental health issues who manage to not be racist in their treatment of others.

Ohhhh yeah. I’m amazed the movie turned out as near perfect as it did. That thing was just full of all sorts of  issues through to the very end. Sometimes adversity truly creates art.
