Hearing that the game is a very bog-standard “AAA” release just makes the garbage people championing it to own the libs look all the sillier.

“Knit me a pair of seat belts!”

ROFL. I thought it looked like a kids drawing of a tractor. Better art obviously, but with the grass and all the green; it just screams John Deer to me.

The artbook (and several bits from the trailers) gives me hope that there’ll be a good bit of horror, hopefully that translates to creepy enemies and not just vibes and visuals. I loved BotW but definitely miss the weirdness of a lot of earlier titles.

I’m gonna post this again because I really can’t unsee it:

I no longer care.  None of that is going to affect ratings in any meaningful way.  Companies care about ratings.  But im glad that the conservatives continue to do everything they can to ensure zoomers and millenials never vote for them in significant numbers.

It’s absolutely in bad faith. If it had been Bill and Jill, they wouldn’t have been able to stop talking about how someone was cutting onions because it’s impossible to say that someone moved you so much that you started crying.

It’s like the literal Fascists who go around comparing themselves to Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring. Some people are beyond helping.

Ive seen a lot of people complaining that Druckman ruins everything with ‘wokeness’ though i’m pretty sure based on an interview I read that this episode was Mazin’s idea and Druckman initially opposed it.

Regardless it’s one of the most beautiful episodes of television I’ve seen in a long time.

I also see a lot of

“Looks like the most popular choice is to say the episode had no purpose.”

Not surprising. I’ve been seeing everywhere people tying themselves up in knots trying to come up with some kind of criticism to cover their homophobia. Looks like the most popular choice is to say the episode had no purpose.

That was exactly my reaction when I heard it!

Modern American conservatives are the softest, most frightened little baby-brained delicate snowflakes to ever live, prove me wrong.

Because if anything is going to placate the far right it’s appointing a Jewish woman of color to the role instead!

No artist I know ever thought the idea of selling “digital art” would work. They make their money the way they has for decades. Selling prints, doing commission work and contract work. They saw NFTs as a scam from day one.

It was never the first thing.

I’m amazed at how quickly NFTs went from “Hey, I’m a talented artist who will sell you a digital copy of my high quality original artwork for $5" to “Hey! Me and get-rich-quick megadouche drinking buddies are selling shitty, repetitive, ass-ugly JPEGs of cartoon animals wearing sunglasses (which we may or may not have

I am shocked, SHOCKED, to learn NFTs are tied to a scam.

It is ridiculously naive, but not less so your claim that it doesn’t matter. It isn’t like somewhere, abstractly, up the line there is a bad actor here: JK Rowling is a prominent part and directly benefits. Much more so than most scenarios, and she has used her influence to continue to hurt trans people. It also isn’t

People aren’t “looking for reasons” to be angry. People are rightfully angry over transphobia, and this game is based on the franchise created by one of the world’s most visible transphobes. And fuuuuuuuuuck you and your stance of “ignore it and it’ll go away”. That’s not how social change works. The trans community
