It’s because of stories like this, or because the last time I took my car to a place for an oil change (the dealer, 30,000 miles ago) it took 4 hours on my day off and cost twice as much as doing it myself.

The practical use is that they’re crazily cheap, fun as hell, reliable, really and affordable repaired when dropped, and just useful enough to justify to yourself. The dirt tires are icing on the cake, and I’d imagine they only crank the fun factor up.

Thankfully, the 4age is a non-interference motor, so it’s not quite as much money as it could be.
