I came prepared to come here and shit on Kate McKinnon because I do not care for her character work; I realize this is perhaps a bit of a hot take as a lot of people seem to love it (especially Lorne Michaels seeing how much she appeared/starred in sketches as her tenure continued), but Jesus Christ why in the hell is

Dismukes seems to really be staking his claim to the glue-guy role during this most recent season.

Agree on switching Bennett for Moynihan.  The latter has never felt like more than a place filler.

I get the praise for wiig but i felt like she had two modes on snl: loud-mouth midwestener and damaged, detatched old hollywood-style actress

I too would put Beck Bennett. Probably over Jimmy Fallon or yeah maybe over Moynihan. For a conventionally handsome guy, Beck really committed to the ridiculousness when he could have gotten by on his looks.

Ooh, I missed seeing Fallon included on here. I mentioned Beck Bennett earlier - yeah, I got way more laughs out of Bennett than I ever did from Fallon’s SNL days.

I promise there’s someone left off this list who was funnier than Jimmy Fallon.

Kenan Thompson can walk onto the set and I’m already happy. His entire body is like an orchestra of funny; he doesn’t have to say a word.

Will Forte should be higher and I’d fit Beck Bennett in there somewhere - I feel like in the last decade or so of SNL, he was the most underrated cast member. Get Moynihan outta there, maybe. Otherwise, pretty agreeable/predictable list.

i mean yeah it was played for laughs in a comedy. did you find that to be a harrowing portrayal?

If this show doesn’t try to replicate the character personalities / relationships from the original series and continue to cast good actors like this, I could be interested. Generally agree that a new version of The Office is unnecessary but that doesn’t mean it’ll be bad.

I hope Michael Palin outlives them all.

I need more context about the Hitler impersonator. Was it someone lampooning Hitler, or doing a loving tribute to Hitler?

Carly Rae Jepsen has consistently released great albums, it’s a shame that Call Me Maybe is what the general public knows about her music.

Christ , practically ANY feedback about the show online I saw was that people universally HATED it, and it was one of the few times that a show didnt appeal to ANYBODY, so I’m honestly suprised to see it being defended in the comments. Oh a trotting out the ‘oh if you dont like it you’re a racist chud’ accusations is

It’s very common for animated shows to order a new season well in advance, due to the time needed for an episode to be completed. If you want your season to premiere approximately one year after the previous one, your order must come at least a year before. Velma was panned almost everywhere, except by the reviewer

I made it through 1.5 episodes. I think all the actual ideas and concepts for the show could work, it’s just the execution was not great.

I assume her point is that it slightly helps remind people there are special raised standards to address guns/animals/why-not-children, and that the cast/crew would be reminded just because they’re all doing more or less the same end product and hours, that they need to act accordingly.

I didn’t watch a minute of this, but I am completely unsurprised that no one involved decided they needed a serious conversation about where they were going to live if they got together. Doesn’t get much different than New Jersey and South Carolina, never mind being 700 miles apart.

I can put up with microtransactions if I can ignore them in a game and still enjoy it. Like Helldiver 2 where the game play loop is so fun that and enjoyable so I don’t really care about the new cape I can buy in the store.
