The only thing I liked about the first episode was the old woman trying to warn me not to watch it. Oh wait, that was in the grocery store.

It's so fitting that on the finale day the Critics Choice noms come out. And the nominations are:
Best Movie/Miniseries
Best Actor in a Movie/Miniseries: Patrick Wilson
Best Actress in a Movie/Miniseries: Kirsten Dunst
Best Supporting Actor in a Movie/Miniseries: Nick Offerman, Jesse Plemons, Bokeem Woodbine
Best

"Not apprehend, dead. Don't care heavily-guarded. Don't care into the sea. Kill and be killed. Head in a bag. There's the message."

Golden Globes nominations: Best Miniseries, Best Actor (Patrick) and Best Actress (Kirsten). While satisfied with those choices, I wish the remaining cast had enough facetime to get supporting noms.

I've never gone below an A grade for this season, the first season notsomuch. So I hope the finale lives up to that standard and doesn't make The Castle episode a better season finale, with its cliffhangery feel.

So, regarding this book, Hawley in July 2014 stated "I like the idea that somewhere out there is a big, leather-bound book that's the history of true crime in the Midwest, and the movie was Chapter 4, Season 1 was Chapter 9 and this is Chapter 2. You can turn the pages of this book, and you just find this collection

Normally, I don't mind flashback episodes but I never really cared for the Ed/Peggy scenes this year, possibly from her looking past their marriage. But she sold her car and I softened a little. Then came her epiphany in the basement and their get outta Dodge With Dodd idea. Throw in my dude Hanzee and out comes a tie

Not since Marge Gunderson.

My favorite quotes from the episode? Anything from Karl Weathers. I've seen some lawyer bullshit in my time but the talkdown of the Assault on Precinct 13, I mean, Rock County trumps "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit." And for two seasons, this show has shown the beauty of TV writing and directing, namely Karl's

Hanzee has already become my Fargo favorite. Apologies to Lorne Malvo.

I just figured it out: Reagan's bus is the UFO, hiding in plain sight. That explains a lot, about this season and his presidency - both of which I love.

The only things I didn't care for were the Simone-Mike scene, thumbs and hair excluded. This isn't Shakespeare so we don't need a "which doctor?" scene, although their visit was beautifully done Breaking Bad-style. Also, I initially winced at Dodd begging for Mom's attention, but what bad guy doesn't do that? And poor

Very late to the party this week, but this was my fave Season 2 episode so far. We've got the setups out of the way: what's happened to Rye, Betsy's cancer, the Blumquists dysfunction, and the Luverne-KC mob war. Next comes the slow burn of that war, the Gerhardts being distracted by Rye's death, and Lou letting them

I know Lou was intently looking at Dodd at the Gerhardt but I hope he paid attention to what Charlie said to interrupt them. Since Betsy wasn't around to do so.
