I feel you on the bone structure thing, I'm built similarly — tall with broad shoulders, wide ribcage, hipbones, etc - which means without a little padding on top bones can stick out. I got the same sort of commentary you did as a teenager, and now sometimes get concern-trolling about my health if I lose a few pounds.

Omg, I remember this story from a previous thread and it still hurts my head. If you mentioned the store going out of business before, though, I'd forgotten that detail. That is nice to hear.

I've only been to Portland for a week-long trip, like, seven years ago but I do remember it being one of the whitest places

Yeah, the original image is . . . uncomfortable, for sure. I know an art history professor who's probably having a field day with this homage right now.

The Kim K photos are neat and interesting, but I wonder what thought process went into recreating this shot, besides "Oh, I can totally balance a champagne glass on

Much as I'd love to see more nude shoots where the model doesn't remove all their pubic hair, I'm not comfortable making it Kim K's problem. My guess is she is habitually bare, in which case touching it up for the shoot is easier than growing it out for the sake of some strangers' hypothetical feelings about seeing

Right? She chose to recreate and play with an iconic image that appealed to her and the creative team she was working with. Seems artistic to me. If people don't like the art, ok, but that doesn't mean no thought went into it. I know lots of people don't think Kim K "deserves" to be famous, and not being into reality

I LOVE that she isn't giving "sexy face." It's the same thing that's so cool about a lot of Betty Page pictures — instead of looking vacantly attractive they are both actually emoting and looking excited to be there.

Heh, if I'd booked a job like that as a 15 year old I'd have peed myself with joy. A few of those could've meant a whole lot less student loan debt! But even looking at her IMDB page, it looks like most years she is doing one or two jobs and they likely are mostly not on this level. (No disrespect to her — she is

Ok. I'm pretty sure I didn't say that, though.

Oh, absolutely. It's just that there are way more actors than jobs, which means booking more work isn't always possible. Hence, most actors don't make all the money they need purely by performing — it's the sort of thing you don't really do unless you a) come from money or b) are prepared to work other jobs in order

This is probably true! But actors generally don't get paid a lot unless people on the street would recognize their name. I'm not saying it's a GOOD thing, but most of her peers would be totally thrilled to make nearly a grand for a day's work. (Especially since not everyone is going to have another gig lined up

$1000 for a day's work is awesome IF you are working plenty of days. If that's the only job you book that month, though, it's not so great. For lots of performers, there is a lot more time off than time on, even if they and their agent are looking for gigs like crazy.

It's still way better pay than any job I had as a

I'm not surprised he didn't want to talk about it, but whatever, he dug that hole for himself, there's not much he can say without digging it deeper. What people want is to see him confronted. To see him lose out in some meaningful way because of the evil things he's done. He had to pay out some money a while back to

Augh, his response - to just try and make the interviewer feel bad for bringing it up - makes my skin crawl.

Yep. Cosby's crimes make a pretty great example of how rape is not some unavoidable impulse. He has a consistent MO which requires premeditation. He had to acquire drugs to use on these women, gain their trust, and administer the drugs without their knowledge. Even if not all of the victims were pre-selected, he would

Exactly! If you are genuinely acting out of naiveté/cluelessness about the issues (I won't say "not racist" because I doubt anyone grows to adulthood without absorbing some racist messages) then the correct response to being told you've done something racist is to apologize and not do that thing again. To educate

I believe several people did notify the police once they realized what they were looking at might be real.

Wow. I am not even an incredibly punctual person and the concept of showing up somewhere an hour and 20 minutes late and still expecting the people you wanted to hang with to be around/not pissed just floors me.

During surge pricing, when you try to order a cab, a message pops up notifying you that surge pricing is in effect, and how many times the usual rate your fare will cost. Then you have to type in that amount to verify that you are aware of and accept the price hike. So they do make it pretty clear, something I've

Yeah, accidentally eating weed candy would probably freak the kid out pretty badly, especially since the dosage would be extra strong for their tiny body. However, the lethal dose for pot is so exponentially high compared to the effective dose that a candy bar is definitely not going to kill anyone, even a small child.

I seriously doubt MeanSeason was saying they would actually give kids pot. I'm pretty sure they were just joking about the fact that accidentally ingesting weed is more likely to result in a long-ass nap than a medical emergency.
