You didn’t refute anything I said, though. The Prozac example stands, because methadone also does something your brain can’t do on its own: it allows you to leave drugs behind without getting withdrawal, which is so severe it’s considered it’s own health condition. Methadone satiates your opioid receptors, something

Thanks for trying to explain it to him. I was on methadone for 3 years, and I switched to Sublocade for another 2 years. I’ve rebuilt my life and am stable financially. I’m choosing to stay on it even though I haven’t used in 5 years. I just don’t feel like I’m ready yet without a safety net. And it breaks my heart

It’s really clear you’re not actually informed on this topic. I’m wondering why you even feel the need to voice your next-to-worthless opinion at all. You really should let go of that contempt for addicts.

You could do some actual research instead of basing your opinions on nothing but your feelings, I don’t mean that in a nasty way, I mean it in a sincere, objective way. It’s frustrating beyond belief to read comments like yours because you don’t mean any harm but you aren’t informed enough to have such negative

Do some research, because you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m a methadone patient and nothing you said makes any sense.

Years ago, I saw a car in L.A. with a “Bartlet for America” bumper sticker, which made me smile. And then I saw Bradley Whitford was the driver, which made me smile more.

I take it you didn’t see the movie?  The quotes are totally appropriate.

He's writing 'liberal' about Whitford's character, not the man.

This is why I’m pretty perplexed that people didn’t get it. The line may be only slightly annoying out of context, but in context it was very uncomfortable. You’d also have to not notice Kaluuya’s reaction at all.

Yeah, but in that context, it’s weird.

Says you? Based on what exactly? Who really knows this idiots heritage? I’m fairly sure you have no clue.

He knows you exist, he simply wants you to suffer for it.

Whats even more bizarre about this is that Fredrick Douglass is one of like, 6 black people who you learn about in public school (along with Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, MLK, Chrispus Attucks and Dred Scott). Most 8th graders could probably tell you that Douglass isnt exactly a contemporary figure.

If you’re willing to be the back half of a moose, I’ve got a plan...

Brown’s offensive reference to the wrong ethnic origin goes nicely with Ansari’s joke about people telling him to “go back to...the country you’re from!”. His follow up is that the racists tend to not be geography buffs.

Maybe he can’t catch a break because of all the shitty things he continues to do without apologizing.

“Chris Brown further proves point.”

Aziz’s bit about G.W. Bush in his opening monologue cracked me up. “What the hell has happened? I’m sitting here wistfully watching old George W. Bush speeches? Just sitting there- ‘What a leader he was!’ 16 years ago I was certain this dude was a dildo, now I’m sitting there like ‘He guided us with his eloquence!’”

My favorite from Philly which had NO media coverage.
