Isn't Peter Parker black in the new Spiderman comics? Or generation previous to this ones?

Michael Keaton is 4" shorter than batman, and his lifts compensated. That's a silly example. This is a character you are talking about. A character with a history and foundation. And, sorry, he's white. People need to stop making a big deal about this.
Okay, fair.
I understand that, but that being said, a character is a character and changing it just for the sake of appearing more race conscious is silly. Yeah it'll take time to catch up, but new characters are so much better than just modifying an established one.
I'm sorry. I have some Depp fanboy. And I'm cool with that hug. Let's find Gary and just..hug it all out.
I disagree entirely. If these are inequalities derived from people considering race as a separate factor, such as a boss who doesn't want to hire a black person, then that's racism. However, if it's just "We can hire 10 people. We have 20 applications, 10 from white people, 10 from black people." and they choose 7…
I'd bet that we're more likely going to see it next year over this year, but yeah. Spot on.
But, despite the fact that you may not be able to tell, there is a discernible difference...why can't you just say "I don't care what it looks like"? It's more accurate than over-generalizing.
But every time they are different. Simplification has been a trend in design for a long time now, aside from a couple odd offshoots like that whole Web 2.0 craze...thing. Yeah there have been some stylistic cycles as fads and whatnot, but fundamentally there's been a pretty steady change.
Never had that problem and I have the eyesight of an old person, despite not being that old. As well.
Gary Oldman.

Gary Oldman.
Actual, I like the idea of Johnny Depp. I know he's really mainstream, but..this is kind of a perfect role for him.
The Day the Audience Fell Asleep
I'm pretty pumped. I think this is different enough and out on a limb enough to really shake things up. Marvel needs to realize that with the money they're bringing in, they can afford to take a chance, because it really isn't a chance. Variety is the spice of life!
He raises a legitimate point. Countering racism isn't about blackwashing everything, it's about bringing it to a point where people don't care and people don't think about it. If you want a black superhero, make a black superhero. Don't take a white superhero and make them black because...racism.
Except the climbing mechanic doesn't work as well, and it's less enjoyable.
That was kind of the plan, bud.
Okay, we'll try this again. Yes I am assuming it will work well. I am justified in doing so. See previous comment.
