Right! And they set it up perfectly with that terrifying “blink and miss it” ghost in the baby’s room (if I remember correctly... it’s been a while and my memory is trash) that had me scanning every inch of every scene... until I finally let my guard down just in time for the child to show up. “Masterful” seems

Realistic reloading. Keeping my magazine full in shooters is so second nature that, when you waste ammo by reloading a partially full magazine, I can’t deal. I’ll hit that R key hundreds of times and waste uncounted rounds before I can wrestle my reflexes long enough to get through the game.

I am so with you on the “spooky old lady” thing. Ghosts are always more scary when they’re elderly for some reason. (although the child ghost is the most unnerving in Insidious, haha)

Agreed. Nothing in the world wrong with a jump scare that’s earned, IMO. The “tension, scare, tension, no scare, tension BIG SCARE” routine is tried and true for a reason, and it can set you up well for more substantial horror and dread as the movie goes on. And even if it doesn’t, many horror movies are perfectly

The first half of Insidious got to me, too. Hell, it still gets under my skin, even knowing that the series eventually turns Lin Shaye into Neo and becomes an unintentional comedy. But man, they had some potent horror on their hands at first. (still love the franchise, mind... certainly can’t accuse it of being boring)

It’s not even a difficult or particularly exotic name. Not that those would be excuses for what was obviously a purposeful mangling of her name, but it makes the backpedaling all the more absurd.

Same here. Okay, that’s two of us, we’re narrowin’ it down!

As lame as these are, I can’t not laugh whenever I’m reminded of Honkin’ On Bobo. So, uhhh.... great job, internet? I guess?

Ahhh, that clears it up for me. I kept thinking “Wasn’t Babylon Bee actually a fairly quality parody site?”. I didn’t realize they had shifted to full on Konservative Komedy (TM) in the years since I had last thought about them.

I am so excited for Rebirth. Phasmophobia is delivering in spades on the anus-clenchingly oppressive scares and the fun of not knowing exactly how the gears are moving behind the scenes, but it’s missing (by design) that narrative push that makes Frictional’s stuff so good. With the experience they gained from making S

“And also my Barron is half robot half dinosaur and he can totally beat you guys up and he has superpowers and can fly and one time Batman showed up and my Barron said to him he said ‘I’m Batman now’ and took his costume right off and wore it himself and now Barron is Batman you can look it up”

The adult in me wants to responsibly tisk tisk his behavior, but the kid in me wants to put up a statue in his honor.

Still no Laguerta Bench spinoff? Turning into a bench was the most interesting thing to happen with that character!

He really is awesome, and maybe the only person in politics I don’t feel like I have to constantly be on the lookout for doublespeak and bullshit. I hate living in PA sometimes, but he’s been a bright spot in dark days.

In multiplayer it’s really not all that scary most of the time, but solo? Totally different ballgame. I hope they flesh out solo mode and smooth out the annoyances of having to do everything yourself, because it’s a damn potent horror game when you’re playing alone.

I feel like “Backing Slowly Away From America And Coming To Just About Anywhere Else” would be a bigger hit these days.

I live for singing, and I’m no stranger to the karaoke scene, but to this day I’m amazed no one kicked my ass or cut my mic the night I got super drunk and decided to sing I Believe In A Thing Called Love. To clarify, I’m a bass with limited range (and at the time I had no vocal training), so I basically just

GPT2 AI has written many things that made me laugh so hard that I couldn’t breathe, but it’s anti-humor and random nonsense that ties in together juuust well enough to make the funny happen. Actual comedy worth praising as witty? I don’t see it happening for a very long time, if ever.

I’m not faulting her in the least, it was funny in a “fellow kids” way, not a “The black woman doesn’t know the hippity-hops!?” way.

Do I!? I go hard in the paint, ni-... *Jason glances at Pence, who quickly mouths “Not yet”* ... umm, ninja!”
