I won’t be performing at the halftime show, either. I think my pitch of “Me doing sick karate moves while lipsyncing to the ‘Chicken Tonight’ jingle” was too avant garde for the NFL.

I still wish this were an animated film in Gammel’s style (I at least want a credits sequence or something like that), but that’s a pretty good interpretation. Very curious to see some trailers.

Any time I find something interesting, I make a beeline for Taco Bell too. I once saw a weird looking fish on Reddit, and I was at Taco Bell faster than the employees could say “STOP COMING IN HERE TO SHOW US FISH PICTURES AND JUST BUY A DAMN TACO OR SOMETHING”.

That’s a shame, I really enjoyed it. It ended in a satisfying enough way, though (even if the added drama really highlighted the show’s tonal issues), so I guess it could have been worse.

Now playing

“Pass It Along” by Chumbawamba. It’s only 19 years old, but it’s a prime example of an outdated pop song that needs the recognition it never got.

I want a revival of the Maniac Mansion TV series, except this time with even less to do with the game than before. It could be about a talking dog getting lost in the big city, and at the end it turns out the big city is Raccoon City and WHAM it was the Resident Evil TV series all along.

Shouldn’t admit to being an adult, that just makes your behavior sadder. You might want to save face and roll with the “angry 10 year old” thing.

It’s not his fault that your mom won’t make tendies for dinner tonight because you threw that tantrum at the grocery store, you know.

That just brought back childhood memories of singing “Did you have to pull my finger?” when the song first came out. A whole generation of Weird Als, we were!

But... wasn’t the 2009 game meant to be Ghostbusters 3? Are we pulling a Halloween with this franchise now? I WANT ANSWERS, DAMMIT.

I adore this song, so I’m picky about covers of it, but yeeeah, this is not one of the better ones I’ve heard. The autotune is an unfortunate choice, as is the weird cutoff at the end right when it feels like the song is about to come into its own.

Err,. yes, I did know that the article was a joke. I never said it wasn’t.

Wow. I knew this would be bad, but this sounds like the kind of bad movie whose very existence will be the punchline to countless jokes in the coming years.

Well, damn. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, as Peele would have been far from the first horror director to have one and only one hit in him, but if this is as good as the trailer, I’m very excited. Makes me more excited for the Twilight Zone reboot as well.

It’s been around 15 years (at least) since I’ve seen The Faculty, I remember none of the dialogue, but I heard that line in my head the second I saw your post. Funny, the things that stay with you.

I always think back to Jeff Gerstmann’s idea for a modern Duke, in which the character is exactly the same, but the people around him see him as we do: the equivalent of that “creepy uncle who thinks he’s the tits” archetype.

No. Having Kaufman and Herz involved *might* help, but no. Even if you keep the tone of the originals, there’s nothing to be gained by a remake. The slapdash zero-budget production is *why* Toxic Avenger, and by extension Troma in general, is entertaining.

I just want them to go meta with this and make it equally as weird as the Mario movie. Instead of a CG Sonic, have it be some guy in a blue T-shirt. Instead of the traditional Robotnik, get Dennis Hopper’s non-union equivalent on the horn and make him wear a fake mustache. Not the squiggly mustache, though. Maybe a

I’d really rather have a Grape Nose Boy spinoff.
