Moore loves Menzies and Frank, and seems to like creating a love triangle where none exists.

OMG, YAAAAASSSSS. I was convinced that DG had it in for one of the male characters for no good reason because of it. It was almost like she enjoyed torturing him.

I am noticing that.

I don't dislike it per se, I just don't think the transition from Renard being almost a member of the Scooby Gang last season to this was handled well. Roiz is a nuanced performer and can handle just about anything they throw his way, but it's like the relationships built over the past few years were trashed in the

I have a weakness for tall, dark, green-eyed men with sexy accents, but I'll get over it. ;-)

Apparently Moore signed on to helm a mini-series starring Bryan Cranston, so that's going to delay things a bit either way.

Yeah, I would have been just as disgusted and outraged had they shown less.

I think Sandringham has had his moments (damn, he is vicious) and I have enjoyed the Comte (who is really just a red herring, so not a true villain).

I do agree with that.

Again, we will just have to move on because I could not disagree more and, based on this assessment, no manner of persuasion on either side will ignite consensus.

I don't read her that way, but YMMV.

I have found it hard at times to engage with season two prior to "Faith," but I think that's partly a function of the source material. The Paris scenes in Dragonfly (the book) are some of my least favorite in the series.

I think we just have to agree to disagree on this.

I don't watch HoC and I thought Homeland got uneven and stopped watching it (although I do usually like Danes). But yes, I do think Balfe is being asked to do work that is at least as challenging as theirs, and I do think she is doing it well.

The French parts of the book were my least favorite, too. Lallybroch forever!

They were laughing about this over at The Scot and the Sassenach. It's actually a weird time gap in the book, and at one point it seems like Murtagh is returning to Lallybroch with them…but then he returns separately. They were speculating on him taking a surreptitious sex holiday with his girlfriend on the way back…

I'm sorry that was your experience with the episode because it drew me in completely.

I see plenty of criticism of certain aspects of Outlander. DG's use of rape as a plot device has been debated since the books have been around for quite a while. I think the difference is that Outlander is the only one of those shows where the source material was written by a woman and where we have the primary POV

Ah, okay. Also a long-time book fan. Catriona wasn't who I always pictured as Claire but I love what she's doing. Let's face it, Claire IS a frustrating pain in the ass sometimes. ;-)

Did you see The Crimson Field? He has tons of screen presence and, in that, the yummiest Glaswegian accent (which I'm sure he won't have as Roger). He is not at all the Roger I have had in my head all these years, but I think he will do just fine. :-)
