I like Edith, too. Certainly much more than I like Mary!

Yep, a bit of misdirection, for sure.

"He doesn't know ANYTHING."

And even though I'm warming to her, I still don't find Pare "totally, irresponsibly good-looking." Her mouth continues to annoy me. ;-)

"it almost feels like she's the new shiny thing taking away all their screentime" Wow you nailed exactly how I've been feeling about her. I have warmed to both the character and the actress (hated both at the beginning of the season), and I know that she gets so much play because she is a big part of Don's story, but

I think the costuming and hair are brilliantly done. Peggy almost always looks just like what she is:

Presumably for the easy A, just like I did. ;-)

These days, it seems like the standard response to a character being socially awkward or maybe even just introverted is to throw an Asperger's label on them. As if every TV viewer is a qualified specialist, able to diagnose characters at a glance.

I watch via Amazon Instant, and he definitely said it. Hilarious moment (and hilarious reaction from Hamm).

Second only to Ginsberg's reaction to the song in Don's office: "It's like a knife in my heart!" His look of disgust was hilarious (especially cutting to it after Ken's look of "Well? Good, right?").

"It helps that Eddie and Rosalee have more chemistry than anyone else on the show right now. Nick and Juliette should be taking notes." A. Eddie and Rosalie are more interesting characters. The writers have given them more to work with (certainly more than the bland Juliette). B. Eddie's scenes contain most of  the

What made me give up on X-Files was actually the serialized arc, all of that conspiracy theory crap. I loved the stand-alone episodes, though. I think genre TV often works better episodic rather than serialized.

I agree that this is one of the better episodes (and "Organ Grinder" is also my favorite, followed by the Three Little Pigs one). Kudos to episode writer Catherine Butterfield, (who has written some really funny and trenchant short plays for the theater).

The timing of that entire scene was IMPECCABLE! Kudos to Slattery, Harris, and Hendricks.

"Next week on Mad Men: Some people shake hands!"LOL! Yeah, those previews are completely pointless. Fabulous recap of and commentary on what has already become one of my favorite episodes.

"…the problem here isn’t that the show is unrealistic. I could care less if it was realistic. Instead, for me, it’s about tonal compatibility."

Ben looks at the camera quite frequently.

Still laughing at Ben's face during the sexy talk about Biden in the diner.
