If they fear for their lives, they should be focused on deescalation rather than automatic escalation.

My roomate went to academy while we live together. I'd say that they did work on self defense/ hand to hand training, but far more of it was about handling their weapons safely and drilling into their heads the "us against them" mentality.

Yes, that too. I think it could be both - it was embarrassing because he hadn’t done anything do deserve it, and because of that he gets eviscerated for something that is out of his control by his political opponents who gleefully went on the attack.

Yes, to all of this. Obama was humble in receiving it, even though he didn’t really think he deserved it. Trump is a straight up toddler about it.

Problem isn’t that he was under investigation - it was that he threatened one of his alleged victims. If he didn’t do that, he’d most likely be on the team.
