No problem. The case involving her nephew started in 2014 - December if my member serves. So there was a lot of talk as to whether or not they should keep her. I think the straw that got her was her shitty behavior after the ‘16 Olympics. But really, she should have been suspended before that.

I took a little umbrage with “convenient excuse” for a person who has a history of being terrible both on and off the pitch. Domestic assault is not an “excuse” for anything. Solo should not have been on the ‘15 WC or ‘16 Rio Olympics. That’s all. Then maybe there wouldn’t be this controversy.

Isnt this just an attempt by a government to stop freedom of expression? They have a right to make those shoes, and they have a right not to make them. Or pull them.

Yeah there was one earlier in the tourney that wasn’t called, then this one wasn’t, but the Japan one was. I think they were all around the same (their arms were stuck out a little, and it was more of the “ball to hand” situation). Both of the earlier situations went to VAR, but this one didn’t, which was weird to me. 

I think if England can possess well out the back, and hold possession (I thought France didn’t do well on that front), they might have a chance. Also, I agree that England looks much more dangerous now. Their back line looks iffy though. 

Yup - England automatically qualifies as it has been absorbed into the “team GB” for the tournament. Some how. The other 2 will probably go to the 1st and 2nd teams in this tournament. I don’t think the European teams have another chance to get one of the other 6 open spots, either.

Agreed. Or that the NFL is plagued by problems but as soon as the kneeling happens, they get offended. Like, I understand the sense of disrespect that people feel when they see others kneel. But I think abuse is worse than kneeling. I donno. Maybe I’m weird.

I thought Brazil was actually pretty great til they ran out of gas in the second half. France was unlucky on a weird foul in the box that cost them the deciding goal that would have put the game away and they may not have needed that 120 minutes.
