I can understand that feeling. I think this was a way they made sure she knew she was an other. Which is shitty either way.

We didn’t go into our segregated locker rooms - if the divider was shut we went into the rooms that were closest to us. And yes - we did talk about where we needed to go if we needed to run. The point is that they didn’t fucking care where we went during a potential emergency.

I feel like this is a case of being so desensitized to mass school shootings that bigoted parents forget that these drills are meant to keep their kids safe, regardless of their feelings.

Ppeople who say that it’s only a drill and okay for the teachers to act this unprepared almost miss the point of the drills. These things are practice. They fucked up.
