This is exactly what happened to us in the UK after voting to leave the European Union. Hate crime has risen 60% this year after a Leave campaign based solely on an argument that millions of immigrants do/will steal our welfare and jobs (simultaneously). If I were religious I would be praying for the US right now.

I do see what you mean, these things often target a specific person. What makes this a gender issue is that it is almost exclusively men killing women, usually women they want to be/have been in a relationship with. Where I live, lots of parks have a system where dogs that shouldn’t be approached (by people or other dogs) wear a yellow ribbon. I think it’s a really good idea, it’s a shame it isn’t more widely known about.

The House of Lords used to have hereditary peerages but these were scrapped in 99 (although 92 peers already in the HoL were allowed to retain their peerages) - people can be nominated by political parties and then after each country-wide election new members of the HoL are admitted. Hilarious. In the UK, the Tories (aka the Conservatives) are a political party stuffed with rich kids. I love the idea that this clothing line is actually being run by them. Perhaps their fitness wear is diamond encrusted?

I heartily endorse the suggestion of making up something super weird! It can be fun. One of my friends was once bored at a party, so when asked about his job he said that he was the person who added the chocolate on top of chocolate biscuits - it took ages for anyone to even question it.
