That's why I was mentioning Star Wars. Unless you have something efficient to make a car hover like in science fiction, it would be really impracticable because of the efficiency.

exactly. Every time I fly for fun, it takes a lot of work and planning, and that's before I even get to the airfield. And then you have preflight, comm checks, communications with ground, clearance delivery, taxi, takeoff, and ATC and before you know it, it becomes a lot of work in the cockpit.
The selfie at the end was not the picture he took. The Ellen text is not in the background.
The tragedy is that numerous green power facilities powered by the murder of small animals by cats have been shelved by environmental activist opposition. Elon Musk dreams of his 1,000,000 cat murder array in the hills around San Francisco, but faces a difficult regulatory environment.
But this tho..
I hate people who argue by just saying the name of a fallacy. You still have to actually explain how that makes them wrong and why you are right.
If you have people telling you that social media images are suitable for large prints, I would propose that they less "do photography" and more "just take some pictures."
It totally would have been nice to have that link in the article!
Free as in speech + dude who can compile -> Free as in free beer
And was there something going on with the fit of Riker's pants? Apparently he couldn't sit down like a normal person.
Not sure if sarcasm...
People like you, who are heavy due to large muscle mass, are outliers. I'd imagine most people who are considered obese in these studies are obese because of their love of pound cake, rather then dem gains. For an individual BMI may be inaccurate, but once you scale it up for a nation it tends to be good at pointing…
Just needs a bigger butterfly collar, and it'll look very similar to a shirt my father used to wear in the 70's.
They did believe her. Which was a problem when basic facts wouldn't have checked out if they did a modicum of investigating — like the fact that UVa holds fraternity rush in the spring, not in the fall. Like the fact that there was no party at Phi Psi on the date that Jackie claimed to be raped. Like the fact that…
It's a bit dependent on the market at the time. Would anyone BUT the government have paid for that IP? If the government is the ONLY buyer, then that is a defacto subsidy. If the WPA was one off several possible royal administrators, then you have a more regular contract opportunity. But even then you can argue that…
Gay rights may have been born at Stonewall, but they grew up with the AIDS crisis. Standing up to cops is one thing, standing up to an entire government that wants you to shut up and go away is another thing entirely. Gay rights went from being sporadic outbursts to an organized movement bent on protecting people from…
There is more. Feminism. Teenagers. The Green Revolution in agriculture. Decolonisation. Popular music. Mass aviation. The birth of the gay rights movement. Cheap, reliable and safe automobiles. High-speed trains. We put a man on the Moon, sent a probe to Mars, beat smallpox and discovered the double-spiral key of…
The point of a CAPTCHA is to keep bots out. If a bot can correctly solve a CAPTCHA 99.8% of the time I'd say its broken. The only reason for someone to make the argument that it's not broken is if they like the current system and don't want it to change. Thus making you a robot.
You're either gay, single or your girl is a supermodel.
We still need to get it to space. The safety concern is when humans are handling it and transporting it while on Earth.
