What’s funny is how The VMAs are the only mainstream video music awards right now.

Imagine the controversy when they cast their first female Paul Rudd.

You’re so full of triggered workerage that you completely missed the joke, parody, and satire of this. That this is meant to mock right-wing views and interpretations of socialism much like how the original Monopoly was meant to parody/satirize monopoly Capitalism.

I think it’s wrong that only one company makes the game Monopoly.

OH the things people get upset over...

This seems like the kind of article where Serious Media Knowers get Big Mad in the comments.

And I can assure you that many, many others at MillerCoors/Molson Coors did not. I know many of them. While many in that building do not agree with Pete Coors’ politics, Pete Coors does not agree with theirs either. Yet he, directly or indirectly, employs them.

Closest thing I could think of is taking off very very tight underwear or maybe undoing a necktie in a dress shirt you can only barely still button.

and I find myself heartened by living in a culture where the curiosities of the “nerd” have not only been normalized, but also reflected in mass-market entertainment like Marvel and Star Wars.”

I worked in the copy room at a law firm a few years ago and we had a framed photo of The Richmeister above the desk, taking his rightful place as the patron saint of people who make copies.

To quote the late great Bert Cooper: “Mr. Hughes, who cares?” I find the character annoying, sure, but A) it’s a cameo in a streaming Scooby Doo cartoon which I’ll never watch, and B) who am I to begrudge Jaleel White for getting work? The monoculture’s dead, baby—you aren’t actually required to have an opinion on, or

I can just hear him saying, “oy, fuck off Laddie” as he “recovers” from the blow.

“Shots, shots, shots, shots....”
