Very well said!

The Mirror Universe is definitely a concept that makes less sense the more it gets developed.  In DS9 it was at least a fun way for the actors to do something wildly different and over-the-top with their characters, even if the logic underpinning the setting was tenuous at best.

This is probably not a popular opinion, but I wasn’t really interested in the Section 31 stuff of Discovery. It actually kind of dragged an already bloated show down

I don’t know. I’m getting an Inhumans “being made because of contractual reasons” vibe off of this.

Ehhh... They explicitly showed that she changed enough that she no longer fit in as the Terran Empress in the Mirror Universe, but I don’t know if someone who committed her atrocities should ever be up for redemption. That’s part of what annoyed me about her time in Discovery (and why I cheered when they finally

I love Michelle Yeoh and it’s not hard to understand why the Discovery showrunners kept her around even after one of her characters died and the other made no logical sense in the story anymore. But I hated just about every scene with her after she left the Mirror Universe, she just clashed too much. Really Saru,

I love Michelle Yeoh but I really don’t need a movie about Section 31. It’s my least favourite aspect of Star Trek Lore. Also I really don’t like Emperor Georgiou. No matter how much you try to make Space-Hitler seem cool they are still at the end of the day going to be Space-Hitler.

And while the show, especially at the beginning, will leave you with many, many more questions than answers...

Section 31 was a great idea in DS9 and then a terrible idea when the current people running Trek didn’t understand that DS9 rejected the group as antithetical to Trek. This show turned movie is going to have my lowest expectations possible.

Sounds like it might be in the same general class as Evil?

In spite of my deep love of Michelle Yeoh this was still the ST project I was least looking forward to. One off movie appeals far more.

I’d watch this but I will not get Peacock or any other streamer I don’t already have.

Wasn’t Mirror Philippa a fascist that ate other sentient species? It’s surprising what characters people root for, just because the actors are good.

This is probably the best-case scenario. If P+/Kurtzman/Yeoh are so dead-set on making this happen, I’ll take a one-off movie over an ill-advised series.

If you’re not up on your Trek lore, Section 31 is the secret, black ops organization that does the dirty work Starfleet is too idealistic to do.

I use a tablet for doodling (I wouldn’t ever call what I do ‘art’ per se), I really enjoy it, for whatever that is worth.

I think if it were heavier, an adhesive wouldn’t be enough to stick.

I’m looking for a reason to hate this, but I’m not coming up with anything interesting.

Of course it’s not without risks, but it seems like, relative to the risks introduced by a police chase, it *generally* would lead to lower public risk exposure.

Came here to say this. Worrying out surveillance issues is a huge stretch here. This is simply a good thing if it cuts down on high speed chases.
