It has possibly the most bare bones gun gameplay in a modern title”

LOL dude do you literally need me to list the best shows ever made? The majority of them ran more than three seasons. The majority of them peaked after season 3. Seriously do you need to me to do that? If I do will you apologise for making me, or will you, like half the people who “just want examples”, silently fuck

AFAIK it’s all “technically cosmetic” except that some bundles include in-game gold, but it’s extremely intense. They have one of those monthly-rotating real-money shops and it’s the main way to get looks beyond the generic/basic - here’s a sort of limited preview of it (with most of the prices hidden, sadly - but

No, it’s not, you’re genuinely deluding yourself, mate. You’ve actually forgotten, sorry.

I think it would work better if they’d applied similar levels of change to all the characters, but it really seems like it’s only Ken at this point, all the rest are exactly who they were before, personality/behaviour-wise, just older (or not even seemingly older), which makes it feel a bit more like vengeful

I think one claim you make is just not factual:

Because all it will take is Markiplier saying “Oh hey, I’m Markiplier, you may have heard of me, here’s proof” for Discord to be “Oh, ok” and just assign him the account name and then slap the person who tried to use it instead.”

Sea of Thieves was an MTX-fuelled live-service game.

Nah bollocks to that, sorry. I’ve discussed this at extreme length on another forum, where a poster had the same “Three is best!” idea, and it absolutely does not hold up to examination. A lot of shows don’t even hit their stride until S3. Many peak in S5, some even later.

For sure re: price. I mean, I don’t really agree it’s as “generic” as some people suggest but even if it had all the bugs/issues fixed, proper cutscenes, better quests, and a busier world, would it be a $70 game? Nah. It’s just not at that level.

This is almost certainly correct.

I disagree.

Having played it, it kind of seems like it might have had three phases of life:

The original plan was to do five seasons of Andor, which would have been much more gradual, and honestly, given how great Andor was, would probably have been amazing (as five seasons just short enough you can avoid the inevitable decline)

Re: “is currently filming” - a lot of stuff that was “currently filming” during the last strike is what got ABSOLUTELY WRECKED.

For example, the vast majority of TBBT episodes (with the exception of scenes with later-added characters) could be easily swapped anywhere within a three-to-five season range of each other.”

It’s not the trolley problem, that’s an incredibly childish take, which embarrassing given that as you used “double plus ungood”, you’re what, 50? Older? That’s some ancient nerd talk. Before my time and I’m 45.

I think what you’re not appreciating is that the studios have to keep creating content to keep getting new subscribers. If they stop getting new subscribers, that’s seen as very bad. That’s why Netflix was freaking out at low growth even though they have a huge subscriber base, because as soon as you stop growing,

I’ve still seen her face flash by in the media enough to last me a lifetime.”
