Average MLB salary $4,095,686 and the minimum salary is $535,000. All of which is guaranteed by whatever their MLB contract is. 

I mean we saw Machado sign for $300m. We saw Arrenado sign for $260m. We saw Corbin sign for $140m. We’re watching Harper get chased by 3-4 teams and after all our handwringing appears to be set to shatter $330m+.

It’s hard PR for the players. When you’re making, on average, $4.5 million a year, it’s hard to make the (correct) case that it’s the owners that are the really greedy ones.
