I live in the house that was my grandparents’, now my mom’s house, and my husband and I take care of her.

My hubby did this at my best friend’s sister’s house. We built a ‘coffin’ for him (he’s a giant) and then did him up like a zombie. As we handed out candy all night, he’d sit up in the coffin and scare the trick-or-treaters. 

I wish we had ways to post pictures or I’d post a pic of the house. It really is a gorgeous old place, but man... 

So I worked for police dispatch in a decently sized city (in the top 15 in the US) for over a decade. This story happened somewhere after 2004 but before 2008-ish, I think.

I mean, it’s not like women have gone on at length about this topic or anything /s

We sure are. In Indy, we spent a fair bit of time listening to tapes of calls like this and training to deal with calls of all types, but the expectation is to stand and deliver when you receive a call, not that nonsense there. I did that job for 12 years. 

Second the Musee de l’Armee and d’Orsay love. They are my favorite places to go in Paris. I am a museum geek, so I’m all about spending the day in a place like the Louvre. I saw la Giaconde, and it was cool, but the real draw for me was the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Venus di Milo, and all the other sculpture…

Still heartbreaking to this day. 

As terrible as this is, I doubt sincerely that those states will give a fuck until their precious sports teams are affected. Once you see a bunch of players going to D1 schools outside of those areas for those reasons, there may be a change in tune. 

When taking the high road isn’t yielding the promised results, perhaps a new map is in order. 

That’s what I’m waiting on. It’s coming.
