You win all the stars
You win all the stars
You were my bad freshmen roommate.
Exactly. All their would-be point guards are off being swimmers or volleyball players or something
I saw him most recently in a several summer league games this year and he looked ferocious and out of place compared to the other lottery pick types in those games.
i think the greatest irony is that there’s some evidence to suggest that R. Holmes, one of the random Hinkie second rounders, is at least as good as Noel already. In limited minutes, looks like a high energy defender, decent rebounder, and plus shot blocker with athleticism, length, etc. But he’s their 4th C and will…
Joking aside, that literally was the strategy of the Chinese national team in the Olympics. They had lineups of all 7 footers. Some of these guys were individually at least passable FIBA-quality bigs (of the type who could give valuable minutes to a Croatia or a Slovenia, say). But when you play 4 or 5 all at once...…
I’d point out that Brady has a reputation for being a huge dick as well. Also fits your theory.
The thing that still flummoxes me about all these anti-Kaep hot takes is that people can’t seem to get it through their heads that the fact that what he’s doing is controversial IS THE ENTIRE POINT OF DOING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I’m far more interested in these black boxes than the contents of this article. Does Deadspin have a new policy of holding sportswear logos for ransom from advertisers or something?
So basically Gawker.com shut down in that Gawker.com because a sub-blog of Deadspin, a basically unrelated blog about sports? Why not just make “the concourse” a separate, reborn Gawker and get it over with? Or are we just building up to that?
If you had your pick of 5-10 pretty similarly excellent companies to work for, and one of those companies called you by the wrong name and offended you before you even started working there, you really don’t think it would be reasonable to consider working at one of the other ones?
Idk. Lots of completely reasonable reasons for a recruit to not choose Michigan. They’ve had 1 (1!) good season and 3 coaches in over a decade and everyone’s acting like they’re on par with Alabama all of a sudden. Which maybe they are. But I’d say the jury is still out until they show they can sustain that success…
I’d be for that. Say you’d have bouts to 21 instead of 15 and 2 for touches in the foil target area and 1 for touches everywhere else.
For the win
In some ways Epee is the purest of them all (I say this as a longtime foil fencer) — no bullshit technicalities and ultra-complicated right of way rules that give a huge amount of discretion to the judges. If you stab the other person, you get a point for stabbing them. Period. In a real duel with real swords, if you…
Yes. As someone else who also fenced for many years, I think she’s pretty off base here. Saber is the truly nuts one. The action is so fast, especially at the elite level, that a huge amount of the variance in outcomes is pure judgment calls by the judge, not what actually happens on the strip.
