One of the things that I liked about the first game was that it was an Obsidian game that did not require me to quit my job and abandon all of my relationships and outside interests in order to finish.

Wrong. You NEED job because capitalism.
Finally, I can break my overly negative comments for this E3 weekend.
Heh, funny trailer, but the hazards of having a trailer joking about how all these reveal-teaser trailers are dealing with a game where nothing’s in a state remotely solid or ready to be shown off is that the game’s, well, clearly not remotely solid or ready to be shown off, and thus is several years away from…
Ubisoft bad. Map big. Many icons.
If any point in time marks the death of mascot platformers outside of Nintendo, or at least the foretold it, it was Jak 2 taking such a hard shift from the first game. I still really enjoy 2 & 3 but you could see Naughty Dog straining to make something very different (which was Uncharted and ultimately TLoU). The art…
Mainframe Entertainment did a great job on that movie. it’s very disappointing that their Sly Cooper movie got canceled because this movie didn’t make enough money. that studio has come a long way since ReBoot.
No, Sly Cooper sucked out the venom….
Rest in peace Jak and Daxter, you were Ratchet and Clank rivals but you never were enemies. First games came out at the same time, each duo made cameos in the other’s adventures, both pushed each other further. Both ended up between the hands of High Impact Games, only Ratchet & Clank survived.
Just a quick note for folks going in cold: No, they absolutely are NOT going to explain like 99% of what you see and the 1% they do explain you’re going to have to read the lore. Which isn’t much of an imposition because it’s often really funny or just out-of-left-field odd.
GOG tends to make the giveaways weird (why is Visa trying to give me Children of Morta? What?) and relatively hard to find on a banner, and while their giveaways are generally pretty good, you’re not saving $40 on a GOTY candidate like Control 90% of the time.
As a lucky ass who got the PS5 for retail price this puts me in a pickle. I have the ps plus version but I don’t want to play it because I want to enjoy the PS5 enhancements and not play the game twice. I also don’t want to pay full price for a game I mostly already have.
They always announce the free games on PS/Xbox when that info gets released. Also Steam doesn’t give out free games very often.
*Qualifier: The best piece of content in mainline Borderlands.
“Assault on Dragon Keep is the single best piece of content in all of Borderlands”
Yes, because this is definitely a project where the director didn’t get to show their vision the first time around...
I can’t upgrade the PS+ version, which seems like an odd choice. I didn’t expect it for free, but I figured I would be able to buy the DLC and get the upgrade.
The also have Genshin Impact up as a free game for the next week, but isn’t Genshin already free to play?
And by the looks of it....no crunch yay
17 is stretching it a little. To get to 17 you have to count mobile games, remasters, and PSP spin-offs not made by insomniac. This is more like the 10th game, and even then you’re counting a couple short PSN-only titles. We only got one R&C the entire last generation, and it was a quasi-remake itself.
