This was one of the most satisfying posts I’ve seen in a while, thank you. 

It’s your usual slip of common sense.

I’m this type of person.  I was a crafter in SW Galaxies, sat around in cantinas and talked.  Not even RP’ing most times, just talked.  Combat is often something I begrudgingly do in these games at the best of times.

That fact that the game releases tomorrow and no reviews or previews exist, that I’ve found makes me wonder the quality of the game.

And that’s the essence of it, really. The people who created the NFT bubble did exactly what they came to do, the rich got richer and so on and so on.

Not nearly as bad as Assassin’s Creed games (especially the past few). It’s open-world in a similar way, but it has a story that’s paced better, and the main game can be finished in 20-40 hours, depending on how much side stuff you want to do, and the DLC is about another 5-10 hours.

I mean, sure, if we ignore that the actual GOTY 2018 was Return of the Obra Dinn.

Lost Legacy is the best IMO. All the wide linear environments of the fourth game, lovable character of the second, and none of the pacing issues and the 11th hour mystical enemies. 

Yep, the first Uncharted aged badly but if you ask me that’s too bad you immediately skipped to the fourth. I’ve been a long time fan of those games and believe me, the second is still the best of the series. It corrected most of what needed to be in the first, story and characters are awesome and... well if you try…

Valve noted once that they would -only- put out HL3 when something extremely disruptive and game changing happened that required a new approach. The closest thing we have is VR and that’s why we got Alyx.

Choosing to make a game that features political turmoil is, in itself, a political act.

Actually, every piece of fictional media *does* in fact make a political statement. The different between what you personally find apolitical vs political is that you are complicate with the material you find apolitical and feel threatened by the things that you consider political.

I wish people would realize that everything you do is political because everything one does is influenced by politics. You may not be trying to make a statement but your actions are based in your upbringing and experiences. Which are all affected by politics. So the fact that they think they can create art about…
