Thanks. It is a plug in, as you mentioned by calling it a PHEV. This conversation is specifically about vehicles without a plug, as is in the comment you replied to.
Thanks for the info. I’ve always like the CT, especially in F-Sport flavor. I knew nearly every full hybrid did all electric at low speed by design, never knew any had a mode for it without being a plug in.

Interesting. If you press the gas too hard does the ICE come on or is it a true EV mode and only accelerates as much as the battery/electric motor can provide? Also does it give you any sort of range or is it even measurable in miles?
Right, nearly any full hybrid will do that in normal operating mode. I was referring to a driver selectable battery only mode. Sorry, should have been more clear.
A selectable mode? Or it is in “normal” or “eco” and just happens to drive fully electric in the parking lot?
It is not you who is wrong.
the goal is to attract people who will spend lots of $$$ via shows, gambling, clubs, drinking/eatting, or concerts and other live events
I don’t know of any traditional hybrids that have a full electric mode, nor do I think any have big enough batteries to make it a viable mode.
If you are averaging 30 on the surface streets, you have to average over 72 on the highway, including on and off ramps.
good luck getting Texans [living in small towns and rural areas] to vote [for anything that changes any sort of status quo or does not directly benefit their interest directly and tangibly] to change the state constitution
You’ve done nothing to defend why the brand matters more than the price. Unless you can point to an EPA codified definition of a “luxury brand” then it is a completely irrelevant opinion...price on the other hand is an objective way to control what cars are available for the credit.
Can you not currently hose out the Express van? obviously not the dash, but I feel like as long as you don’t get too crazy you probably could? Also I guess that would depend on the slant of floors and if they drain or pool in the footwells.
Where did you find that the Ionic5 gets the credit with the SUV price cap?
Why does the brand matter? The Lyriq is cheaper than a Model Y. The BMW X5 and 330e are also included as well as few Volvos, FWIW.
It’s always a good sign when the breadsticks are dripping with butter. Our cross country coach told us if we went there for carbs a couple days before a meet, to NOT eat the breadsticks. We promptly ignored him every time the angel came around with the basket.
Manifesting a Fazoli’s to open in Houston so I can relive high school and [pretend to] not worry about how unhealthy those buttery buttery breadsticks are.
Unrelated, but almost related: The Original chicken sandwich was my BK go to when I was a teenager. Now that I don’t eat meat, I think it would be one of the easiest things on the BK menu for a plant based option. The taste and texture of the actual chicken (from what I remember) is not very different at all from the…
I don’t think Texas has any plans to annex any parts of Sinaloa.
