The Chaser is high on my list of must-own cars, although I’d happily take a 1JZ/R154 Cressida wagon too.

The Cosmo was only ever offered with an auto; I’m not sure that I’ve ever even heard of a manual-swapped one. It’s a big GT with one of the smoothest engines ever, an auto’s a sensible choice. I have heard of the 20B swapped into RX-7s, though.

Yeah, it’s just a 13B+1.

Before I sold it due to lack of storage, my plan for my 245 was a Cummins 12v swap. This isn’t quite the same thing, but I’m fully into a diesel Volvo. NP.

I’d probably have to swap the triples, the XS400 forks are 33mm. The easiest swap is actually the upside down forks from an Aprilia RS125, but good luck finding those in North America.

I’ve got a front disc and a rear drum, although I wouldn’t mind just straight up replacing the front end with one from an XJ750 or something, if only for the sake of reducing fork seal replacements.

I’m tweaking the forks on my be-clipon’d XS for precisely this reason. Noodly front suspension from the factory.

Even in good shape, that’s pretty steep for an RD in my neighbourhood. If it were an RZ it would be a different story. CP.

This isn’t related, but I’ve been meaning to ask: are you a fan of Dave Barry, by chance?

That’s beautiful, congratulations.

I don’t think it’s the motorcycle’s fault that cafes became fashion accessories.

You’re fun at parties, I can tell.

Which is to say, ODIN was a subtle reference to Project Thor.

The LX570 is taller than it is wide. I hate following these things, they hurt my eyes.

That’s why the MKT’s roof and shoulderlines are so weird, I always wondered.

They’re also devastatingly pretty in navy blue.

The Junior Zagato is like top-five most beautiful cars ever designed. Go sit in the corner and think about what you’ve done.

You can write letters on paper? Where do you plug the keyboard in?

They’re from a BMW GS-series bike. BMW’s gotten into the habit of giving their bikes asymmetrical headlights (check out the 2015 S1000RR). Personally it’s such an odd fit for an XR that I can’t help but like it. I’m sure the builder knew what everyone thinks of the GS when they chose those lamps.

Usually funny, occasionally transcendent.
