That is easily the nicest photo of a MkII I've ever seen. I owned one for a while but the rear quarter was rotten through. Finally sold it for parts for way less than it was worth; those W58 five-speeds can get an even $1000 some days.

I have, for as long as I've been into wagons, wanted to build one of these. If I had $9000 lying around I'd be tempted to drop a bid.

CP from hell to breakfast. No turbo, no six-speed, awful, awful wheels, and I can have all that and a stack of pancakes for two-thirds of what this joker is asking, in Canadian dollars.

My love of awful puns is currently doing battle with my resentment at not having made it first.

Is that...a Cerebus/Spidey cross?

Hydrogen runs about $4/kg.

Which should be reason enough for anyone to support such research.

There's a house on my block with a whole fleet of bright-yellow beigemobiles parked in back. It's an assault on the eyes.

What Flashman said. Not a huge fan of Warthog, honestly. There are better ales. Big Rock's a good standby if they don't have something better on tap, but it's rarely my firs choice.

How many of those had 6-speeds?

Flawless victory.

Audi <3 Pynchon?

Well, since I'm here early enough to get the obvious stuff out of the way, the M88 is a damned fine powerplant.

I would pay almost anything to get my hands on one of these beautiful machines. $14000? Especially with the Canadian dollar at better than parity, do it up. NP.

Really? I get excited when I see an Eagle on the street. They're rarer than hen's teeth, and I live in the northernmost large city in Canada.

Lovely, but not on the Supra. They look great on older Cressidas and Celicas. Even the AE86 in my back yard looks good with them. Just never been a fan of them on the MkII itself.

My car sits on H&R springs, which have the dual function of dropping it about an inch and a half from stock and making the ride quality equivalent to bad chiropracty. It looks lovely, but on northern Canadian streets it's a ludicrously bad ride.

And despite all that, it's damned beautiful, especially considering it's a '79 and American.

Victory.

Love the stance, love the Ronals, and I have some affection for MkIs generally, but for $6000 I could hack together the same build and some legit engine mods at the same time. Crack pipe.
