Hell yeah I would. The bulk of my need for hauling capacity amounts to bringing big things home from the junkyard, and I feel weird driving vehicles that stand much higher than my collarbone. Can't see well enough from that high up.

@willyolio: People take the Tesla Roadster seriously?
I'm sold. Living in Canada, we don't have smog laws, and if we're conveniently ignoring them for sake of argument anyway, I'm happy to ignore importing hassles. Sounds like a fun-as-hell car, and I love the way FCs look.
@HammSammich: Haha, c'est juste. Although really, for me, the import hassles are really the only thing keeping me from saying yes to this car. I'd just yank the engine and track down an L28 to build.
@notfitforhumanconsumption: Bahaha, awesome. You nailed it, sir, I'll never look at the F1 the same way again.
@bmoreDLJ: That's how I read it too. I obviously haven't been watching enough Simpsons.
@HammSammich: Y'all from Alberta?
In my hometown, it's gotta be F-350s and Silverados. JB Power Centers make a killing on chrome bits, standpipe exhausts, and ludicrous lift kits that never see mud.
@Calaediscope: I have the same questions about that, or any other utterly excessive modifications, as I do about the Dragon Vette. Do people actually find that aesthetically pleasing? Are they so disconnected from the reality of what they do that they can't see the abomination they've created?
@jaymcminn: I'd vote nice price on an Espada regardless. I have a deep and irrational love for those cars.
@kake81: Heart click for you.
My Jetta is Lowenbrau: cheap, German, and favoured by hipsters. My MkII Supra with the planned (although not started, so this is kind of a cheat) SBC swap is a bourbon and sake highball: weird.
@studbike: God yes. There's one that lives across the street from me and every time I see it, I sigh a little.
@rb1971 - E39M5'er: I can see it, and it's beautiful. Black leather-clad Recaros, hand-finished black-walnut panels, machined aluminum buttons...
@jedchev: I dunno, man. The 240 is a rock-solid, egregiously-70s, characterful, only-in-Sweden-weird platform, and for that I cannot but love it. Feel no shame, brother. 240s are sweet.
@Jude Butler: Nailed it, jefe. I don't care if it sucks, I love the way it looks. Subaru AWD swap, and shit would get real.
@vavon205: I almost bought one of those once, but I've never seen one on the road here. Parts would have been a nightmare.
@Schm, enjoying his first desert winter. .: Pretty sure acid is the only thing that could make those cars non-repulsive. Everything is interesting on acid.
@Tyson: Heart click for you.
