I love this whole little brood, omg!
I love this whole little brood, omg!
A few reasons, yeah. For one, she had been through a lot before we adopted her — abandoned by her previous owner, who had overfed and abused her, and mostly just kept her shut in a bedroom all the time, poor baby — and the only time she’d been in a car before coming to us was to be spayed; the second trip was to come…
Aw, yay other Stella! Thank you. I love them both, but it’s nice to have one who’s with me in my home again, while Stella looks after my mom.
Haha thank you! I had to snag that one, that was the first night he was here, and had clearly worn himself out, he just conked out completely on my bed like that.
That’s a really good way to describe it! They really are like mini-panthers, and sort of regal.
All the best people do. ;)
I really hope we are! I think it’s a good sign he settled in so quickly, we really haven’t had any trouble (other than him wanting to run all over and play parkour when he’s all full of energy, but he’s still a kitten, so that’s not really a surprise, lol). He’s currently sitting next to me on my bed purring while I…
They really are! (My other kitty, who is now my mom’s cat, Stella, is also a black cat.)
Black cats are the best! It kills me that there’s still stupid stigma about them out there, it’s so ridiculous and undeserved.
I completely understand what you mean.
I am really looking forward to having a little companion of my own again, it’s been a long time since I lived full-time with a kitty. Just sitting while they purr near or on you is so comforting.
Sadly I don’t have any helpful advice to offer — it’s been well over 10 years now since I’ve owned a dog — but I wish you the best of luck! I just adopted a kitty on Monday, and he’s young enough (5 months) that it’s definitely been an experience, haha!
This is by far my favorite thing I’ve read all day.
I don’t give a shit about Star Wars, but a good friend of mine literally came within a hair’s breadth of getting Tran’s role (as in, it was between Tran and my friend, in the end), and this awful news is, as strange as it sounds... kind of making me glad she didn’t get it? I mean, yeah, it’s a career-making part,…
It’s nothing great, but it’s not bad, either! It’s more heavy-handed than the book, but it does translate a lot of the surrealism of how everyone just sort of accepts all the madness going on that the book tries to convey, I think. Definitely nowhere near as good as the source material, but I didn’t really expect it…
Sixty years after Frank Lloyd Wright dreamed up the first arcology, we have yet to see one built.
“The tire had flattened”
(I should probably add, we just put out our first title last month. Working on #2 now!)
This is our first year in operation, but we’ll be doing unusual, forgotten, or bizzaro fiction that’s been out of print for a long time, newly edited. We may occasionally do new works, too, once we have more funding. My partner edits, I do the book design and cover illustrations.
