As someone who likes and orders there chicken sandwiches, I still know that their riches from the empire that I am unfortunately supporting does in fact push cash out to support anti-LGBT groups.

It would almost certainly go down.  You know what they say, there’s no such thing as bad press.

Very likely going to happen since we live in a Philip K Dick corporate dystopia now.

LOL, yeah, I thought the same thing.

To be fair, having seen The Secret Life of Pets 2 with my kids yesterday, it was also bad.

Especially, so soon after it was screwed up last time?

t’s in the running for most famous comic arc ever (along with Killing Joke and Death of Superman) and the only one by Marvel.

Yep. I remember watching Apocalypse and when she unleashed the Pheonix to kill him I was like “Oh Jesus they’re doing this already?!

Dark Phoenix is irresistible to any movie executive. It’s in the running for most famous comic arc ever (along with Killing Joke and Death of Superman) and the only one by Marvel. It’s like giving someone the Batman franchise and telling them to wait until the 4th movie to use the Joker. That may be their initial

It still blows my mind that he screwed the same story pretty much the same exact way again. Adding space hijinks and aliens doesn’t help if the core story is more or less the same fiasco we saw in 2006.

Definitely. It did not get out-earned by The Secret Life of Pets 2 because they moved the release date. It got out-earned by The Secret Life of Pets 2 because it was bad.

Yeah, all this finger-pointing seems just designed to obscure the fact that it’s probably not a great movie. I haven’t seen it, but there’s a point at which a good movie is going to punch through scheduling and marketing issues. A bad one...won’t.

To be fair, there are other movies with cool things to do. The catch is, the plots are generally nonsensical, especially the latter half of the Showa-era. I mean, I love Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, but the plot itself, and the characters? Meh. Not the best. Same with GvBiollante, ESPECIALLY the terrorist scenes.

I’m in it for the monster mayhem. I’m expecting to put up with any scenes involving stinkin’ mammals trying to reason their way through giant monsters smashing cities, as it is in pretty much all Godzilla films.

Yeah nobody’s going to see a Kaiju movie for Shakespearean dialog. The humans were just as stupid back then. I wanna see monsters fight, take a break when the stupid humans yak it up, then see monsters fight again.

Yeah, I don’t know why anyone did that, to be honest. I mean, is Endgame an objectively better movie? Not sure, haven’t seen KOTM yet. But they are two completely different situations. There’s no way the hype would even be close. No freaking way. Godzilla has never had the amount of love and adoration in our society

Gotta say I go to r/godzilla daily and it’s a hard sub to gauge sometimes because how many people earnestly tried to put KotM and Endgame in the same ballpark...

Critics in 2014: “Not enough Godzilla and too much time on humans!

So, the human storylines are dumb and boring, and the real reason to watch is the gnarly, awesome giant monster fights.  Sounds like basically every Godzilla movie ever.  I’m there!

I grew up watching Godzilla tail-sliding into Megalon, twin fairies chanting a magical Moth into existence, Anguirus and Godzilla “roar-talking” words at each other and a rose being psychically embedded with the soul of a dead woman. I am ready for this film, no matter how weak the plot is. Let. Them. Fight.
