Perhaps because when people are getting the call saying it’s their turn in line they’re not actually buying the car?

I bet it’s because there’s no 3 year back order for the Performance version. If they can increase the take rate, it could lead to higher profit margins vs people opting for lower trims.

Because the 3 year back order is for the base model which Tesla probably can’t even make money on. They want to upsale some of the pre order buyers.

Literally the next paragraph says customers who have already placed orders will have the new prices applied retroactively.

I hear they are dropping the price on the Elio, too.

Tesla Roadster Test Driver Swears The Car’s Insane Quoted Performance Times Are ‘Conservative’

He’s just trying to make his household CAFE numbers.

Maybe, but Tesla has achieved true automotive douche-baggery in record time with easily the highest percentage of shitbag owners of any marque. I honestly thought Charger/300 and Altima/Maxima driver’s achievements would never be surpassed, but here we are.  The dude at work who rolls a 100D also has some stupid Road

One of the few good episodes of Top Gear US was when Tanner drove a C7 with the nannies turned off. He is a professional driver and the car scared him shitless. Leave the nannies on.

“the company even formulated a lightweight paint specially to reduce the volume of liquid needed.”

I have 435 hp in my Mustang. On the very, very rare occasions when I actually can put my foot to the floor without dying, I have to ease off within less than a second, because I’ll have already gotten to the maximum safe speed of wherever I happen to be driving (maybe two seconds if it’s leaving a red light).

HD is in trouble, they are much easier to bully.

now that orange 45 has started picking a fight with HD, will coca cola, mcdonalds and levi’s be next?

Hear me out: Instead of paying the numerous billions of dollars and euros in fines for Dieselgate, what if VW would build a street legal version of the ID-R and sell it at the price of a Passat. Of course they’d lose a ton of money because building a Passat is probably way, way cheaper than building a Pikes Peak

Smaller engines, hybrids, and less noise are three things.  What’s the fourth?

BOP = Balance of Performance. Bitch all you want but BOP does wonders for making close racing.

You mean balance of performance? Thanks for your opinion guy who clearly reads about one race a year but has strong takes.

Can I order it with a normal looking grill...this new one is still better than the Kia looking design shown a couple months ago but it’s too angular for a GT coupe....probably fine if it was an M2 or M4.

BMW reps have confirmed that all the embiggen upgrade is part of the track pack

Maybe the (lack of) roof attracts another type of buyer? Or maybe the ‘secretary’s car’ image filters out the insecure bros and sends them to the twins?
