The only thing I know about digital is how hard it tries to mimic and capture the feel of film, and when it's successful at that it gets praised.

This is a pet peeve of mine, but why is it that the amount of time a technology has existed is used as a reason for why it needs to be done away with?

Now I'm sad that this whole deal didn't happen back in 1996.

Uh…

This film was perhaps the first time I made an abstract/intellectual connection between the literal story and the deeper meaning in it. I was only in the 5th or 6th grade, but as I re-watched it I realized it was a story about a man who had the choice of having all his dreams come true, but at the price of his soul.

I just came here to brag that I won THIRD PLACE in the Mark Eitzel Trivia promotion on Facebook, and therefore won a free signed CD of this album. I love American Music Club and I love Mr. Hamburger. So far Don't Be a Stranger has not grown on me, but I know that in time it will. I felt the same way about The Golden

Saw Jason Lytle perform live with Midlake a couple of summers ago in Missoula and it was some of the most beautiful music I'd ever experienced. Proud to call Jason Lytle a fellow Montanan. Any other Montanan AV Clubbers out there?

I just watched this and wanted to come here to give a big "fuck you" to this review. This movie was absolute garbage and it really inspired some hatred in me. It was awful. People who compare it to surrealist, absurd, or generally arthouse cinema must not understand what those things are or what they mean. If I read

I would agree that it is like a horror movie for children, and I can understand wanting to protect and shield children from it. But I think seeing it through to the end sort of made everything okay for me, because I saw that good triumphed and evil was punished. I definitely am appalled at what parents my age allow

And the kids in my high school math book all lived in some world where every third person was in a wheelchair for some reason.
