First of all, if you want to marry someone, why not discuss it and see where you both are? If you're determined the guy has to ask, why should he wait for a certain time of year? There are many problems raised by the idea of engagement season.

To be honest, I have no idea what you mean by that.

I just wish that the garment industry was more open so it was easier to see if you're buying from an ethical supply chain. I already avoid stores with known issues (Walmart, Gap, etc), but it's so hard to find out the conditions in which clothing is made.

Once again, I could almost swear that PETA is actually run by some international animal-killing conglomerate. It's the only way I can explain the fact that, even though I hardly ever eat meat, almost every time I see an ad of theirs I want to go club a baby cow and have some veal out of spite.

I think the problem is that while a lot of nutritionists go to university and take years of health classes, there's no overall organization that ensures that only properly qualified people call themselves nutritionists.

That's what I meant. I'd never go through all that without getting back more than the costs involved (unless it was a family member or something).

I'd totally do this if it were legal in Canada, and it it weren't such a complicated, time consuming procedure. From what I've read, it seems hard to do it if you're already working.
