See, the liability is the sticky part. To my knowledge, if you crash because of Autopilot/FSD when it’s active, it’s your fault because you weren’t being attentive. If you take over when Autopilot/FSD warns you to, as it was intended (say you didn’t have enough time to take over and perform evasive maneuvers), it’s

More like an unknowing/unwilling victim. The amount of close calls in that video is freaking terrifying and NHTSA continues to allow the use of this stupid Full Self Driving (beta) label. I expect at some point insurance liability may catch up with all this reckless beta testing.

Considering how bad Level 1 autonomous self-parking is, it is incredibly unsurprising to see Level 2 fail this badly this often. The alarming part is how many people are already overconfident in their autonomous vehicles and don’t understand how little Level 2 is capable of without their input.

Cannot agree more about AV5 or bust. Humans suck at just monitoring tasks. End up Homer Simpsoning stuff before you know it.

Sounds like a failure to signal issue; turn on your blinkers!

Crap, at second look this does have a “regular” automatic.  The previous S4 had a DSG unit.

In most states, if you’re ridding in the left lane, you’re also breaking the law. So you need to go all ‘road warrior' and 'pretend cop' on your own ass.

Can’t stand the people who decide to “enforce” the speed limit by camping in the left lane right at the posted speed. Just move over, you aren’t the police. If I want to go 5-10 over, let me.

You are literally the person this video is about. I hope you realize you are also the person this video is for.

First of all, as another poster said it’s not your job to police the roads. Second of all, speedometers are not high-precision instruments; they can easily be off by 5% either way. That doesn’t sound like much, but it could mean that you’re going 62 in a 65, and someone else is going 68, and you’re both “going the

The speed on its own isn’t the problem. Different drivers trying to go different speeds is the problem. And that’s not a problem when there are no obstructions. An obstruction includes someone driving slower than the flow of traffic and telling those behind them to deal with it because they don’t feel they should have

So you very well know that the answer to my question isn’t what you want it to be, so you’re going down the road of pedantry?

Absolutely, yield to those behind you. It’s the law.

Your ass is beautiful to me when you drive the speed limit on the left lane and there are no one to your right.

Because the speed limit is an arbitrary assignment by the govt and has little basis in what an actual safe speed for the roadway is? How hard is it to stay in the fucking right lane unless you are actively overtaking someone?

I ride a motorcycle about 90% of the time. I’ll intentionally pass on the left, and then move right back over. Some folks get the hint. Some folks are dense idiots.

OR and this is a crazy revolutionary idea: drive the speed limit not in the left lane! Unless you have some crazy powertrip were you feel the need to control what other people are doing, because everybody knows that you’re special beautiful snowflake.

Repeat after me: the left lane is NOT the “fast lane” it is the passing lane. It is for passing, not for cruising, regardless of your speed.

This, forever and ever.

No.
