Hopefully not all states are the fustercluck that Minnesota is. The state adopted the Real ID standard at the same time they changed over to a new DMV computer system. I pre-applied and still waited 30 minutes at the DMV to get to the desk, 20 minutes at the desk itself, and then 8 weeks waiting for my new ID.
