I think it helps that Pally and Coupe played characters very similar to their characters on Happy Endings. Coach and Brad are very different.

Agree! There have definitely been better episodes, but I still enjoyed hanging out with the gang. I appreciated all the callbacks to previous episodes.

After seeing him as Brad on Happy Endings, it was hard for me to see him as anyone else. I do hope he gets some good roles in the future, and maybe return to New Girl for the wedding!

Of course she is manipulative and shady. But I wonder if Alison remembers cherry as guilt-tripping her about Gabriel because of Alison's own guilt about the matter. I don't think Alison is imagining all of it, but I'm sure her own feelings influence her memories of Cherry.

I agree with you, but I do wonder how much of the MIL's manipulation is in Alison's head. It is interesting to think about.

Lydia and Howard truly are the best couple on this show. I like Andrew and Zelda, but sometimes it seems like the show is forcing us to root for them. I don't know, I could kind of see Noah and Alison remembering the hospital scene in different ways. The scenes boil down to Noah helping Alison realize that she needs to let her grandmother go. Maybe Noah doesn't remember talking her into it. I could buy it.
